I was born and raised in Sharjah and left it in 1998 to move to the United States. I'm 40 years old and I miss this corniche and majaz park and al whida street. Every Thursday night this place would be packed with families bbqing, ice cream trucks passing by and flirting with girls. It was the best time of my life. Maybe, one day my children will get to experience it.
Salaam Brother Ali, thank you for sharing your heartfelt memories of Sharjah. It's amazing how places like the corniche, Majaz Park, and Al Wahda Street hold such special significance. Your vivid description brings back the charm of those Thursday nights filled with families, BBQs, ice cream trucks, and youthful fun. I hope your children will one day experience the same magic and create their own lasting memories in Sharjah. Best regards, Hussein
Thank you Hussein. Do you still live there ? I also remember on Friday, we used to wake up early to swim at Ajman beach and then frequent the fish market there then come back home to go to Friday prayer. After Friday prayer will feast on the fish and watch grendaizer.
Both of my parents worked for the ministry in health from 70s to the late 90s, so we had a great life. What’s interesting is that I’ve been living in the United States for 25 years now and I’m Lebanese American and yet, the only place I always miss and feel I belong to is Sharjah. Al 7amdellah.
I love Sharjah is my dream to live in there insha allah I lived there 20 years ago I was housemaid then moved to Canada but thank god Iam more enjoying when I come there b coz of independence and financially well.when you pray and trust god you always find way
