  • My youngest decided to follow in the footsteps of my and her older brothers by enrolling in Photography and Yearbook. She was initially uninterested in the hobby, but as she became more comfortable with it, she realized she enjoyed it. So much so that she entered local and national competitions and attempted to attend almost every sports event that the high school offered. She prefers to shoot sports photography because of the unique and hectic nature of the trade, as each photo she takes is one of a kind and extremely difficult to replicate, so the spontaneous nature appeals to her!
I hope you learned something from watching my videos! I am currently doing this part-time in the form of a hobby so it would mean the world if you could give this video a like and subscribe for DIYs and Vlogs. Until next time. Thank You!

You have some great images on this vid. the one thing I would say is that using a tripod at a sports venue (apart from in the stands) is very unsual I like most of togs I know use a monopod. as this allows you to move easier around the venue and if not needed then it's easy to store. Keep shooting and have fun doing it.

I'm trying to improve my own photography, and noticed that many of your photos capture the subjects at less ideal points in time, such as in awkward phases of movement in between actions. Is this at all by design or just a quirk I noticed.

Yeah that was my 1st year in HS sport photography, now I no longer use tripod, and 2024-2025 will be my last year in HS. Specially in sport photography you need to shoot more and learn from it, by the way this year is my year because I was 1st place in Washington State and Superior in National, and 1st place in yearbook. Thank you for watching.

@@ToaiLonDIY Thanks for the response. I Just did my first and last year of high school sports photography (just graduated!) and am hoping to continue it as a hobby in college. Even with good equipment, it takes alot of work! Congrats on your accomplishments
