HI Mary, a little helpful advise for you regarding soaking your floral foam. Fill the sink or bowl with water, then gentle leave the foam on top and let it soak on its own, it will start to fall to the bottom when it is fully saturated, Do not force it under the water or run the tap on it as this causes airlocks and you will always end up with a dry unsaturated area in the middle of the block. It only takes 15/20 minutes to soak a full block this way. If your foam is old it is more difficult to get it to take up water. Linda (retired florist)
You, Mary are so creative and inspiring! Your channel is definitely one of my favorites! I currently have a lot of primm decor but because I love your house so much I'm starting to add more and more white and it's so refreshing! There is nothing prettier than white and wood! 🤍🤎 Thank you!!!
I Love these ideas, will definitely try lots of them! Just a quick tip from my days as a florist-- to soak oasis completely without any dry air pockets inside, fill the sink with water, float oasis on top and let it sink naturally. It only takes a few minutes, when it has submerged itself it's ready to work with. Running the tap on it and covering the outside with water before it has time to sink traps air inside so no matter how long you soak it the middle stays dry. I hope this info saves you time and helps your flowers to live longer in future:) thanks for the great videos!
Your precious kitty just tickles me! He wants to be wherever you are and seems like he wants to help you do everything...if only he had opposable thumbs! Great video...will start working on gifts now for December 2020! Thank you!
Hello lovely lady. I just want to say I stumbled across your channel a couple of months ago. YOU ARE AMAZING. As is the content of your videos. I am a disabled lady here in the UK and am a lover of all things crafty, sewing, crochet. I can relate to so many of your videos. Thank you for inviting us into your world. Sooo looking forward to your next videos. Happy Christmas to you all. Much love Jackie in the UK 🇬🇧 😘 xxx
Mary, I love the stars. I was following your folds exactly (I thought) but could not get a star. Finally I realized I was watching the process upside down through the camera angle and when I began placing every open edge and fold accurately to my body as they are to you, I got a beautiful star. I liked it so much I used it in Children's Church as an activity connecting to the Bethlehem star. Thanks for sharing!
All projects looked great and seem very do-able. I am a total pushover for snow men and so the sock- and-rice snowman will be the one I do! Thank you for sharing your creativity! !!
Your kittie peeking over the counter watching you fill that sock was so cute....he’s looking like hey Mom is that my new toy? I had a snowman my grandson made them as family gifts years ago and a mouse came and ate a hole in it for the rice.....if I made one I might use sand instead...but I love them.... When we went to Berlin I stopped by The Plaid Sheep Company.......ohhh the ideas they have...if you haven’t been there you need to stop in....
I absolutely love your wreath and the paper cone trees. I had no idea the trick to make a cone was to cut out a wedge in a circle. Thank you so much for sharing.
Cute ideas! I especially like the paper trees and stars. I'm a scrapbooker and card maker so I have tons of paper! Good projects to make with children, too.
Amazing job as usual. Cannot tell you how much I look forward to your videos. I wanted share a tip I learned from a florist years ago. If you are using floral foam the take a bowl of water and let it float. It will slowly soak in the water and sink. When it get fully submerged on its own then you know that the inside does not have any dry spots. Cannot push it down into the water. I noticed there were a few dry spots on yours. Probably does not matter so much for boxwood but can make a difference for flowers. Thank you for sharing these lovely projects.
I have made these German stars a couple of years ago and I also dipped them in wax, to preserve them, thanks for sharing, your tutorial was inspiring to make the stars again thank you ❤️
Have you ever thought about being a art teacher are a wood teacher are either a homemac teacher? because you have all the talent to be either one. I have been watching your Video's I've enjoyed each and everyone of them that I 've seen so far and your voice is so Joyful to listen to while i watch whatever you are doing. You are so Blessed. Mrs Marry.
I love your work. For floral foam, fill your sink with water and then let the foam rest on the water and submerge on its own. It only takes a few minutes to soak.
Your video clips have never disappointed us. I love all your ideas of Christmas decoration, simple but unique, no needs to depend on spending lots of money. Thoughts and ideas, doing it by ourselves are much more precious. Thank you so much for always sharing so much joy of life with us. By the way, the cat is so cute, he/she is your best audience and companion, his presence always adds lots of fun to your video.
how nice to craft with a little observer and get a cheer from your kid! lucky you!, when we made those in school we used to cut the stripes off and use them for the scarf!, I think he's adorable!!, you could use another rubber band to section off the grey part, and shape that into a hat
I am just surfing through Christmas ideas and came across this one of yours that I had missed. I love the part where the cat is watching what you are doing and then put its two paws up on the counter! So sweet!
Glad to visit with you Wednesday morning...FYI (my experience) we did jar engines with Cub Scouts many years ago... One tip, put nothing in the globe made of metal---rust will great a mess. Ie white Christmas Tree trunk...All you efforts are so appreciated. Enjoy your day.
# 4 ...I liked the WREATH at the Beganing with a bit of wire from the wreath showing through....and with just the FIRST GREENERY Eucalyptus...Leaving the Fern off...👍simple is good too 👌
Made the snowmen with my grandkids last year and they're the cutest things ever! It was fun and interesting to see how different they all were. They're darling all standing in a group, or on their own. Everybody should make these!
Mary I love all of these projects! I wrap my Christmas gifts in plain craft paper and use bakers twine to tie them shut. I’ve always done that to match my home made decorations and to look more homey and simple. Wish I had a beautiful kitty to help me with my projects like yours.
What great, frugal decorating ideas! That family frame idea is amazing! Loved the light through each frame piece! Each Christmas I allow my four grandsons to make a project to take home and you’ve given me so many to choose from! Thank you for the inspiration and for the lovely Christmas music accompanying the videos! 🎄✨🌟
Thanks for sharing. As a florist i recommend to soak the florist foam in the water áfter you filled the tub. Dont push it under so you don't get airpockets inside and the whole block is moistered within minutes
Very rarely do I find a video where I love every single project but this one took the cake! I loved every single thing you did here. My children and I will add these projects to the top of our Christmas craft list! 🥰 thank you for sharing

@Ohhollyf I put an ornament hook through one of the points of the star and dipped it in the wax, the wax cures fast. I also glittered some of them.
Love the cat! Animals always steal the show. Thanks for all the good craft ideas.
