Liberty X got the best kind of revenge ever! They were AMAZING! And I am so glad they decided to become a 5 piece on their own. I had no idea Nigel Lithgow was a judge on Popstars, weird.
Popstars was the First Show he did, then Pop Idol, he also worked on American Idol as well as "So You Think You Can Dance" in The US but I'm not sure if he worked on The Canadian Version. Also look at Nadine Coyle, she gets let go from Irish Popstars because of her age and becomes a Superstar in Girls Aloud. Liberty X were very lucky. Some guys who weren't part of O-Town that was created by that Perv Lou Pearlman who created The Backstreet Boys and N'Sync created their own Group called LMNT (pronounced Element) but didn't make it. I told US Viewers and they were stunned. Alot of US Kids went on Popstars were rejected and then went on American Idol and were also rejected. Taryn Manning (Pensatucky) on Orange Is The New Black tried out for The US Popstars Group Eden's Crush and didn't make it and look what happened to her.
Here's a interesting fact. "Pure & Simple" was originally recorded by Girl Thing (Simon Cowell's Proteges) but Hear'Say got it and it became a smash. What's so eerie is that Kym Marsh works with Cheryl Ann Tweedy on Coronation St., on The Text Santa Special a Couple of years ago then Cheryl works with Nicole Scherzinger (US Popstars) on The X Factor US.
Darius was a character but I’m sure the tv show latched onto that and encouraged him to go for it even more. He wiped the floor with all the other talent and given how he started out soon settled down and appeared to be a genuine, lovely guy.
Why did Claire now go on Pop Idol, X Factor or The Voice! She wasn’t seen enough to really start a career on the back of pop stars shows... Feel for her... She had Talent.
Darius reminded me of Freddy Mercury of Queen as well as James Debarge who was Janet Jackson's Former First Husband. Some of these Kids really think they are God's Gift to the Music World and they are not. I'm sure they look back at their performances and cringe.
He did well for himself in the end. He went on Pop Idol and was good at that and then he brought out his own album. I still have a copy. He went on to do West End shows, amongst other things. Sadly he died last year
Darius makes me cringe every time I watch him! There is something very odd about him... He try’s so hard to be cool... But he really isn’t! Darius mate... you will never live down the “ Hit me baby one more time” You just wanna puke he is so cheesy!!
yeah i loved them and i still play all their albums now. i could see songs like just a little and being nobody doing well in today's chart. i remember having their first album on repeat :D

Think he was the exec producer for Pop Idol I think or something like that?

It's sad he's passed away now

She's here.
Wasn't Kelli from Liberty X an absolute stunner, she comes across as a lovely person too. I had a huge crush on her back in the day.x
RIP Darius
Darius had a pre-viral moment on his hands with "Baby One More Time"
It's an iconic moment in TV history. Did you hear yesterday that Darius died?
@@stephthestar90 I did indeed 😔
Love Lib X and Darius!
Same! I think Darius was better as a solo singer though
