      Will be sad when the citaros go. It won’t feel anything like 358! But I can tell u that each day until TBC, 5 of the old fleet will run during the day. That includes one Citaro, BF65 HVD

    Im curious,on a scale to 1 to 10 how comfy were the leather seats.
    And also,do you think this nearly 2 years delay was worth the wait for these buses?
    (Also you can never escape that Dong sound that every electric bus seems to make,even with these unconventional buses)

    • @TheBromleyBusGuy
      @TheBromleyBusGuy  2 месяца назад +2

      I'd give the seats about a 6, they were alright. I wouldn't say the delay was worth it as I'd rather have the Citaros for longer lol

    • @nathanw9770

      The reason why all recent electric buses have that "dong" sound is so that blind people can listen out for them since newer electric buses are very quiet.

      @@TheBromleyBusGuy it’s crazy. Why do TfL think people want to sit on a bus shivering when you could be nice and warm in your car.

  • @timbounds7190
    @timbounds7190 2 месяца назад

    Looks like they have a window demisting issue! Here's an idea - why not string up some electricity wires along the road so they can power themselves via their pantograph? Oh, yes, it was called a trolleybus.....

    • @TheBromleyBusGuy
      @TheBromleyBusGuy  2 месяца назад

      To be fair though, the infrastructure would cost a fortune. But it definitely makes sense for trolleybuses to come to London in the future

    • @timbounds7190
      @timbounds7190 2 месяца назад

      @@TheBromleyBusGuy Well, these days the technology must exist for a hybrid bus - either drawing current from a wire or operating on battery (and using the wire to recharge the battery). You wouldn't need expensive wiring infrastructure on all of every route then - you could wire the roads which are most used, and the buses would switch to battery where there weren't wires. This would also mean that such buses would be more flexible than the old trolleybuses, not being entirely restricted to where there were wires.

      Grey is a perfectly nice colour. So is black. It is unusual that their is no til branding on the seats, but it is perfectly normal for operators to change aesthetics, also it gives a premium feel.
