  • The last few days, we've been getting a lot of rain! We need it! Everything is a beautiful green and the coffee tastes great! Let's go! This is a popular Polka that we know well!
Both the Czech Area Concertina Club and North Star Concertina Club play this tune! Check (Czech) out the "Czech Area Concertina Club" on the internet and concertinamusic.com!
We are members of these wonderful Concertina Club's!

Oh dear this reminds me of going to the old church with my great grandpa way back when. He was from the old country and Polka was just his anthem

The Kucera boys had the Old Time market cornered in my view.

I love going back and listening to some of the old favorites! Frank was a great guy to play for. Sometimes when he’d play one number that really suited him, he could make it last 10 minutes! Ha ha! I’d be ready for a beer break after one of those!!

I was always glad when Frank would call me to sub for the tuba player, it meant a little cash, free beer, food and a guaranteed good time! We would play anywhere ...barn dance, ballroom, tavern, parade float, it was always fun!

Thank you for another one. I have become addicted to the cheerful Czech/Nebraska sound with its snappy tempo and instrumentation that usually includes a tuba & concertina & occasionally a marimba --much different than the Polish & German sound/music that is prevalent in my East Coast area. Yours truly Gordon Geasland
