There's no such thing as a JLP or PNP country, it's a mixture of both parties trying to exist in a constitutional democracy.
Some of the main things that government should be focusing on are; affordable healthcare, housing, education, and get the people to buy into the process of reporting the criminals in their communities, and this will help to prevent some of the murders from taking place, and also providing some of the basic necessities like regular tap water, pick up of garbage in a timely manner, de- bushing , painting should be done on a regular basis and not just on Labor Day, invest in solar energy for street light, better roads, infrastructure,etc...yhe Councilors and MP should make themselves known in the communities and listen to the concerns of the people and act on them.

Without a doubt, there is a striking social disconnect between Jamaican politicians and the average citizen. The older generations who once held unwavering political beliefs are gradually fading away, and the demographics of voters are shifting rapidly. The younger generations, namely millennials and Gen Z, are primarily focused on their interests and pay little attention to the needs of their communities. As a result, the political climate is often characterized by a short-sighted approach that values immediate results over long-term progress. However, it is time to take action and create a more collaborative and inclusive political landscape that truly serves the people of Jamaica. By actively engaging with our politicians, we can make our voices heard and push for meaningful, positive change in our society.

You seem to believe that a Jamaican can't have the country's good at heart and talk the truth regardless of who he votes for! Oral right!! When there is too much imbalance of power, those with the power tend to abuse it and ignore accountability requirements. Andrew Holness Income Statements for 2021 and 2022 have still not been certified by the Integrity Commission; the Speaker of the House suppresses Auditor General and other reports the Government does not want to discuss; former Government ministers and higher ups are accused or suspected of crimes from fraud to murder and after many years are still not tried or brought to account'; not to mention, their huge 250% self-serving salary increase. If citing these things means you lack "objectivity", we need to redefine what objectivity is.

Jamaica needs a government that cares genuinely…. We need real solutions in our country’s
Strategies that will stabilize the nation :
Retention of professionals especially in education sector
Affordable housing solutions especially for lower income and middle class.real estate needs to be leveraged in Jamaica..what is affordable is not accessible and what is accessible is not affordable or cost effective
Stabilization of cost of food…food prices are too high without proper regulations
More opportunities for young people especially in emerging industries like tech and digital
Modernization of crime fighting strategies along with adequate compensation of workers in security force….
Finally Before gov consider overcompensating themselves they should ensure the people serving the country in public sector earn enough to take care of themselves and family. Being a Politician is is about policy making. The translation of such policies depend on the all the working public sector groups….it can’t be fair for the gov to be the only group extremely happy about their salary. An insensitive government cannot be interpreted as a good one.JLP or PNP our leaders need to be better examples of nation builders and do better to Safeguard a brighter future for all Jamaican children n not just those at the top.
