As someone with disabilities myself who was picked on a LOT for them as a teen, I've never liked when movies or shows do "Laugh at the retard"- type jokes. As an adult who has worked in special- needs classrooms for a few years, I feel even more strongly about it. 2. Offensive portrayal aside, Special Ed's calls tended to also be incredibly repetitive and with no real thought or effort put into them, they're usually just him saying a certain phrase over and over again, punctuated by occasionally screaming "YAAAAAY!" That's just how I personally feel, though.
