Small detail, love the similarities between Jarvan and Shyvana W's. Golden Aegis and Inferno Aegis, both self shields, both scale with how many enemies are hit with it, but Jarvan's slows enemies and Shyvana's grants MS to herself.
when I heard it right shyvana's w scales with how many enemies are near her , it doesnt have an initial hit, but yyeah I see the similraities thats kinda cool
also Shyv's W shows the emblem J4 gave to her

they said they kept it regarding mains' feedback, it still applies on hit you can just now decide when to proc the second hit so it gives more room to manage your burst and not just wait until they get low to finish with the old Q
i think this new one is much stronger, the current double on hit is only really double on wards :p
@abbyfromirs old one still seems far better since 15% max health damage was the most important part of her kit.
@DragonKinguuhard to defend any part of her kit when it was all really bad. The double on hit was nice, but her general power budget was very low.

I want to point out how Rell didn't engage on Sona when she's even closer at some point, and Draven didn't attack her at all before jump in (for dramatic effect?), that's not kiting that's waiting, this gameplay is faker than Faker.
@GundabadUruk most kit got nerf and shield and heal is not as good as og damage over time only thing good was q spamming but that about it also fear is worse than og r stunning
@ERICWORSHIPSCARLEGREATLONGNECK Yeah, I don't get why people think a fear, which only lasts 0.5 seconds anyway, that actively makes enemies get away even further from you, actually countering yourself by creating distance, is better than pulling and grouping enemies right infront with you, in distance for your massive Q aoe proc and E nuke zone.
@SheepWithHammer If Rell engages on Sona, then Shyvana engages on Draven. Makes sense for Rell to stay back to help peel for the carries. But yeah it's weird that Draven isn't even trying to get autos in when Rell is there to cover

Only Amumu (W) and Udyr (R) have it now. Swain and Hecarim sort of too, but they are more utility heals as much as they are damage and they're on long cooldowns.

not gonna lie, whenever I'm playing new champs like Smolder and Briar and now the Shyvana rework, those animations and sounds don't make it feel like I'm doing damage, doesn't satisfy me and don't make me feel powerful. Playing the old shyvana: animations are faster and more straighforward, the sound is perfect and I can feel and hear the damage

I really miss her old E mark. It was so satisfying to hit enemies and deal % max health damage on those who have been hit by the ability. The mark also looked really cool.

lost opportunity to do something unique and creative with the dragon passive without being the general stacking enhanches this and that. every drake in her teams posession is X% more effective on her (would be a cool idea i took like 2 seconds to come up with). she got the au sol and belveth treatment. ive been playing for 8 years and im dissapointed how they struggle to add unique things, such lazyness for the number 1 MOBA in the world

One of the worst things for old Shyvana was building up fury, especially in gamemodes like ARAM, Riot have seemed to not entirely change the Fury system so she will still probably be susceptible to jungle invades and the such.
But please Riot, somehow buff/change Fury buildup in ARAM.
in ARAM she gets more and more fury regeneration as the game goes on (and also more and more resistances) when she is getting healed by the AOE of the healing packs on the side of the enemy and also when her team kills cannons/siege minions...
but the effect is so small that its barely noticeable in most games sadly...
i have a feeling you only play ap shyvana. i never had these issues whenever i play her

yes, that's how powerfarmers work in the jungle, they have a clear weakness and its called being susceptible to invades, otherwise they just power farm, get tempo advantage, scale and stomp the game, SPECIALLY when they have passives that synergize with farming (which this new shyvana does)
She already has a fury regeneration buff on ARAM and it is absurd at rank 3. She is also incredible as a tank due to her passive because she gets armor and MR. She was really good with the old unending despair.

0.3 AR and 0.2 MR per stack, stacks can only be gained by medium monsters and cannon minions, a takedown or a epic monster killed gives 5 stacks so quite literally 1 AR/MR per takedown.
Rn it's the worst infinite scaling passive in game.
Edit: They also reduced base resistances so it's squishier than mages on early game.

So the community voted for the last two reworks to be Skarner and Shyvana, right?
In turn, Riot reworked Skarner into something that is, in many ways, unrecognizable compared to his previous iteration. Unfortunately, he is now played just as little as before the rework due to being gutted, largely for pro play reasons.
As for this Shyvana rework, I can't help but feel like they have mostly taken the basic kit from pre-rework Skarner and placed it on Shyvana.
Q: empowered aoe auto, sheen synergy
W: shield, movespeed buff
E: straight line piercing skillshot that damages and slows enemies
Obviously the E doesn't have the stun effect, the passives and ults are different, with Shyvana's dragon abilities adding a bit of flavor.
It's possible that I was just oblivious to how similar Shyvana and Skarner previously were, and it was inevitable that her new kit would resemble his old one in order to keep any sense of similarity to her old one. Regardless, I have to wonder how this is considered more modern than the kit they pulled off of Skarner. Who knows though, maybe it will be exactly what Shyvana needs to "breathe" some life into her.
Yeah I'm very sceptic about this rework. Her E is literally Karma Q. Her current W would do awesome on current Skarner. The champ is a whole nothingburger.
You've hit on my fears. As one of the long time League players, I've lost a lot of my previous champs which I played due to reworks: (1) Skarner (due to a clunky rework that is still incomplete); (2) Swain (because the rework alienated me when they lost the look and feel of his old kit - not to mention the lore); (3) Volibear (a simple champ who was turned into an overtuned, overly-popular champ), and now finally my Shyvana is on the rework chopping block. Can we please keep some of the older champs simple and friendly for those of us who have longer pings and don't need confusing and overloaded kits? It gets hard having to leave my old champs because some dev gets his jollies by trying to show off his creative muscle.
@bluebilberry I mean, Skarner and Shyv objectively need less APM than before. Shyv, Skarner, Voli are all mechanically very easy.
Shyv especially has way less moving parts and interactions than the current version that actually requires a decent bit of knowledge to build. I really hope they delay her release of the rework.

@Didagg Did you? Her E used to have a very heavy power budget on AD builds. While the current version of it is barely worth using besides early game considering you max this last unless you go full AP.
Since the onhit was moved to Q, E became literally pointless as an ability, slow duration is 0.75 which is laughable as a chasing tool.
