- Today I am trying the Danessa Myricks Groundwork Blooming Romance Palette. This is a multi-use, talc-free palette with velvety pomades and coordinating oil-absorbing shaping powders that easily define eyes, brows, cheeks & lips in shades of pinks, berries, and mauves.
Having tried and loved the original Defining Neutrals Palette, I was very excited to try this one. I still think there is a learning curve to see what shades and tools work best for different things, but overall, I was thrilled with how my makeup came out. I can definitely see myself using this one a lot in the future.

I have to say (as someone with a vast makeup collection) that this is the most innovative eye formula that has come out in the last couple of years. Will definitely purchase this.

Shannon, you mentioned you were going on a cruise! I would love to see what make up you’re planning to bring. I tend to bring tons of make up on a cruise. It’s just too much fun lol
I will try and make a video. My problem is, I tend to pack at the last minute no matter how hard I try not to. LOL
And yes, I do the same, especially on a cruise.
Shannon, this palette looks amazing on you! I watch all of your videos so I realize it's outside of your preferences but it is a good look on you! I would easily add a separate brow product and a shimmer topper. Pinks and purples can be hard to match to clothing so this palette's range would be great for that.

Great review! As a person with cool-neutral undertoned med-tan (tan-deep in summer) skin tone, the original Groundwork palette washed me out. I need pink/red undertones, so I’m glad she came out with this palette
That makes total sense. For me, they work well together. I’ve been playing around with both now that I have this one and really enjoying it. It’s brought out my creativity, which I will be honest, is limited.
I love using the original groundwork over tarte shape tape and fenty pro'filtr loose setting powder in butter. I work in healthcare and 30 degree temperature and it lasted all day with the ground works eye liner. Img. I would buy again.
I do too. For me there is a learning curve and get out of your comfort zone of using the same type of products. But everyone I use it, I love it. The same with this one. I love it more with each use
It's not as good as the last groundwork neutrals. I did my usual shift and the pigment just faded away in my crease. Where groundwork neutral did fade just a smidge but held on. It was my first time playing with it. So we are just getting to know eachother. 😆
I just ordered this today, I didn’t buy the first one as it was too dark. The brow risks did make me laugh. I only use benefit gimme brow on my brows so I am not too concerned about not having the first one, excited to get this one tomorrow!

It looks lovely on you. I have the neutrals. I may get this one during the rouge sale. I’m down to save 20%. My only hesitation is my sensitivity to red pigment and i’m wondering if those pinks and mauves will bother my eyes.

Worth waiting for the sale.
I haven’t had any sensitivity to any of the shades and I have tried them all at this point. With that said, I only have reactions to the worst of them. I’m not very sensitive

I really like it, and the more I play with it, I like it more. However, it isn’t for everyone. And it’s not cheap. So it is very good for what it is and does. Great if you like creams and powders and also like to experiment a little
Great review! I wasn't really interested until I watched you apply it. I would likley only use it on my eyes, but I'm an all or nothing kinda girl. I would want all 3! I ck'd and the sparkly one is out of stock. I need these like another hole in my head!!!

Do you know if two friends would like to own this palette together and split the cost would it be unsanitary?
MUA use the same palette on clients all the time. The key is the clean your brushes before/after each use.
It's a NO for me - all of the products made by Danessa Myricks lab is made in China. The quality and efficacy of products made in China are not likely to be as stringent or clean as made in Italy or France. I would keep an open mind on how well these products last and work over time. For example, if the product starts to smell or turn color - look moldy especially if you store in a less than dry or cool environment. Buyer beware.
Valid points. I have the original one and it’s still in great condition and I haven’t experienced any of the pomades drying out or anything else sketchy. However, l don’t disagree.
