All she needs is a lip balm and a mineral sunscreen at her age. You both come across as very sweet I would consider a safety plan as well. I do mean this to be respectful, so it's not a cue to others comment any hate or negativity. I just fear for children online and being taught that this is normal. It really isn't.

I also have a bunch of make up but not to much I’ve got 3-4 eyeshadow pallets that I don’t even use, all I use from my makeup is lip stuff..

Sorry but this is just not healthy. I’m sure other people in this comment section agree, and many other people have made videos about overconsumption and how it isn’t healthy ^^. This is just plain old wasting money. One or two lip glosses or even 1 make up palette is good enough. She could give some of that stuff away to people who actually need it and people who can use it. I started acting when I was in fifth grade, so I’ve grown to have quite the collection of makeup, but this also comes with a lot of skin issues. Children have a thinner layer of skin than teenagers or adults, and using certain things can clog their pores before they even know it, and will literally damage the protective layer on their skin. This is true for BOTH makeup AND skin products. I’ve learned from experience. 😬
I just want to warn people to be extremely careful of what they put on their face, because certain products aren’t for everyone! I have no issues with children using go makeup for dance, acting, etc!

I use things that are popular but they WORK for my skin. I have harsh break outs and i’m 11. That’s over consumption to the max. My makeup consists of masacra, blush, highlighter, and concealer. Skincare you may ask? Cleanser, a light toner, moisturizer, and a hydrating spray. Your 11 year old doesn’t need all this new stuff. Most of my styff is things my mom didn’t like, i rarely go to sephora shopping crazily.

I would practice on myself all the time and today I don’t do dance anymore but I wear makeup all the time! It’s fun and exciting to wear out! Some people have more stuff then others and may I mention her skin is beautiful so clearly the makeup isn’t affecting her skin negatively

i’m a comp dancer and i’m just gonna say.. you DONT need this much makeup for comps!! no matter what competition, you really only need foundation, concealer, blush, (contour if you want it) eyeshadow (TWO pallets are enough), lashes (or mascara) and lipstick!! that’s it!! nothing more. and i get that maybe your studio does fun makeup but there’s no reason to have all of this..
She’s doesn’t have all of this makeup ONLY for competitions. Competitions since 4 started her love of makeup and her collection. But I get sent makeup by brands and give it to her and she also goes shopping for it every so often.

As an 11 year old I have to say that’s crazyyyyy… I only use a lil bit of mascara , lip gloss , cleanser,sunscreen and moisturiser maybe occasionally a face mask but not that much ! She does not need eyeshadow and like 3/4 of all of that .
I actually wish i had all this when i was her age 😅 theres this girl on youtube who is very young, & loves makeup. Her mom let her do her makeup to practice, aswell as her own..watch tutorials and practice. Now, shes absolutely AMAZING at it! I feel like people are so worried about things, that they dont let kids be creative & follow their passions & practice to become good. At a young age, ur beain is like a sponge, & things are fun, new & exciting, & so they end up becoming really good at things if their parents give them the tools to do so. I LOVED fashion as a kid, if my parents helped get me the tools to make clothes, brought me shopping more, i probably would have become an amazing fashion designer. But they didnt give me the tools to help grow & learn my passions. & when i got older, life hit me & now i was more worried about other things. So i say all that to say this. If ur child is interested/ has a passion for something, i dont see any problem with giving them the tools so they can divulge in it more, & get better at it. Im sure this mom is doing a fine job at teaching her child about over consumption, & protecting her. Just bc she has a lot of make uo for someone her age, doesnt mean its a bad thing!!! Times are different now. & just bc she has all these things, doesnt mean she's not also teaching her how to be grateful & appreciative of her mom/dad, who got her those things. This also doesnt mean shes not protecting her from preditors. 😊 (had to say this bc ppl are implying this, & i really dont see how it has anything to do with her having makeup!! ❤

I started acting when I was in fifth grade, so I’ve grown to have quite the collection of makeup, but this also comes with a lot of skin issues. Children have a thinner layer of skin than teenagers or adults, and using certain things can clog their pores before they even know it, and will literally damage the protective layer on their skin. This is true for BOTH makeup AND skin products. I’ve learned from experience. 😬
I just want to warn people to be extremely careful of what they put on their face, because certain products aren’t for everyone! I have no issues with children using go makeup for dance, acting, etc!

heyyy no hate but to all the people who are saying that “the kid does comp” and “she’s a dancer” if this kid is a dancer she still doesn’t need this much stuff. my bestie who’s older than 11 ( not putting her age in here) and only has a bag full of makeup. that’s it. and the only skincare she has is cleansing balm and some sort of face spray… all of this stuff is UNNECESSARY for the 11 year old.

I use things that are popular but they WORK for my skin. I have harsh break outs and i’m 11. That’s over consumption to the max. My makeup consists of masacra, blush, highlighter, and concealer. Skincare you may ask? Cleanser, a light toner, moisturizer, and a hydrating spray. Your 11 year old doesn’t need all this new stuff. Most of my styff is things my mom didn’t like, i rarely go to sephora shopping crazily.

Y’all are harsh, everyone parents differently! She understands your concerns but her daughter does dance! I started dance at 2 and immediately fell in love with makeup! I would practice on myself all the time and today I don’t do dance anymore but I wear makeup all the time! It’s fun and exciting to wear out! Just because you didn’t have this stuff when you were 11 doesn’t mean she can’t. Some people have more stuff then others and may I mention her skin is beautiful so clearly the makeup isn’t affecting her skin negatively

she should be doing this herself. she owns it, she fixes it. even if you enjoy doing it for her, you have to teach her that she should do it on her own because she will keep relying on you to do it.
i’m a comp dancer and i’m just gonna say.. you DONT need this much makeup for comps!! no matter what competition, you really only need foundation, concealer, blush, (contour if you want it) eyeshadow (TWO pallets are enough), lashes (or mascara) and lipstick!! that’s it!! nothing more. and i get that maybe your studio does fun makeup but there’s no reason to have all of this..
She’s doesn’t have all of this makeup ONLY for competitions. Competitions since 4 started her love of makeup and her collection. But I get sent makeup by brands and give it to her and she also goes shopping for it every so often.

As an 11 year old I have to say that’s crazyyyyy… I only use a lil bit of mascara , lip gloss , cleanser,sunscreen and moisturiser maybe occasionally a face mask but not that much ! She does not need eyeshadow and like 3/4 of all of that .

I actually wish i had all this when i was her age 😅 theres this girl on youtube who is very young, & loves makeup. Her mom let her do her makeup to practice, aswell as her own..watch tutorials and practice. Now, shes absolutely AMAZING at it! I feel like people are so worried about things, that they dont let kids be creative & follow their passions & practice to become good. At a young age, ur beain is like a sponge, & things are fun, new & exciting, & so they end up becoming really good at things if their parents give them the tools to do so. I LOVED fashion as a kid, if my parents helped get me the tools to make clothes, brought me shopping more, i probably would have become an amazing fashion designer. But they didnt give me the tools to help grow & learn my passions. & when i got older, life hit me & now i was more worried about other things.
So i say all that to say this. If ur child is interested/ has a passion for something, i dont see any problem with giving them the tools so they can divulge in it more, & get better at it. Im sure this mom is doing a fine job at teaching her child about over consumption, & protecting her. Just bc she has a lot of make uo for someone her age, doesnt mean its a bad thing!!! Times are different now. & just bc she has all these things, doesnt mean she's not also teaching her how to be grateful & appreciative of her mom/dad, who got her those things.
This also doesnt mean shes not protecting her from preditors. 😊 (had to say this bc ppl are implying this, & i really dont see how it has anything to do with her having makeup!! ❤
