hey wheelz! Im thinking of saying F-It and going catless. My main concern is the smell and the drone. How bad is it in your opinion?
Yes you can smell it. Lol. And yes at certain RPM it gets loud n annoying. But as a car enthusiast that’s what I like. Lol. I love the smell of fuel and I love good sounding loud engines. But from around 2500-3000 RPM it’s annoying. Other then that I love it. Cold start is ridiculous also. Check out my video with the cold start.
I have the same exact ones but I haven't installed them yet. Ok so the key questions are did it improve performance or does it feel the same or less? Also did you get a check engine light yet? Cause obviously that is the main reason I got these DP'S.. sounds awesome BTW
a tune with downpipes always yield more hp.

Hey.. I appreciate if you could help me out.. just got a b9 rs5. I removed secondary resonators and middle one, then installed a catless dp, but the wastegate rattle is driving me nuts between 1-2.5k rpm esp on cold start.. do you have it? Thinking to put back the resonators in hope of getting rid of the rattle, but if its not gonna cut it i am gonna go straight to stock dp. What do you think?
The main reason these cars get too loud and have those annoying parts in the RPM is because of the catless downpipes. I had a full cat back exhaust before the downpipes and it was nice, decent sound, no rattles or annoying RPMs, but it was just too quiet for me. Could u have wastage rattle, sure. But most likely it’s just because of the catless downpipes. I would just go back to stock downpipes. The stock downpipes flow good enough for the stock turbos so there is no performance gain anyways. You don’t gain power with them. It’s purely for the sound.
Exactly like I though rhaspy as fck. Get 200 cells. For quality sound. I;m running 200 cells with titanium catback way better than this.
I had a cat-back before only before. It was way too quiet for me. And in my years and personal experience, aftermarket cats fail much sooner then OEM. So I’m definitely not doing that.😂 Yea there’s some rasp at certain points, but overall I like it better. To each their own🙌🏼 All I get everywhere I go is compliments.🤷🏻♂️ Not that I need that, cuz I like my car how iii like it.😁 But thanks for the comment. I’m sure it will help others who want something quieter then this👌🏼
