I have just been back and listened to Linda Perry's original and the difference is stark. Dimash is a triumph of technical mastery whilst Linda connects with raw emotion as well as technical ability. Linda's great skill is being able to get the best emotionally out of an artist and thats why she has worked with the likes of Pink and Christine Aguilera and can also produce it in her own singing. I think Dimash should have asked Linda to produce for him.

The way the guitarist played with his solo parts is the true call & response of the voice to the guitar. The vocal is the question, the guitar is the answer. I love that, as you said it shows great situational experience!
