I didn’t know him but my cousin send me his song yesterday and I played but today I’ve read on some short video of his music that HE has passed on.
It’s weird because I don’t listen to much Nigerian music as I find the synthetic voices annoying but I just fell in love with one of his song and the style HE expresses Himself. Talk about listening to HEAVENLY music now. I appreciate his talents and the gift of music he gave to Africa and the world. I was so mesmerised by the song as it captivated Africa so much in ways I don’t have words for.

I remember how much I used to tell my friends about Mohbad and his music constantly for a whole year. I would go and search the translations for the lyrics in his songs and I thought I would learn Yoruba that way. And when he dropped "Peace" we used to play it on every road trip since it was on the road trip playlist. The Sunday before his death, I had just sent a few of his links to another newly recruited fan, imagine waking up two days later to the sad news of his demise, I've still failed to comprehend it.
