The tragedy of Jency was she chose to pursue a teaching job for a steady salary even when Ilayaraja promised her lot of songs to sing as she was his favorite that time. Sri Illayaraja got the power to bring into notes of various ragas and its variations and he would have converted them into songs with other singers but very sadly he failed to realise the fact that it was God who introduced jency to Illayaraja sir to make his compositions a perfect whole. True jency would not have listened to raja sir's advice quite a few times but had he took some more initiatives the music world would have seen very many soul stirring songs. Loss neither to raja sir nor to jency but to the music world. Jencys voice is truly heavenly. As is to raja sir's music.
