At 22 I have a lot of hope for the next generation. They're being brought up with more care towards each other. I can't remember that my parents ever explained to my brothers how they should behave towards women, but i was told i couldn't go out with friends after dark because 'I was a girl' and they didnt explain the actual reasons behind it. Now when I'm talking to a 12 year old boy (at my job) I can explain any misconceptions he might have and tell him to look out for the girls around him and he'll listen attentively and ask questions. I've been harassed 2 times this one time I was all dressed up and I was walking to my friends house and this car pulled up beside me and it was a grown man he kept on asking for my number and age I told him I was 15 but he still kept on following me I felt very uncomfortable so I just started running this was a scary experience for me he wouldn't stop following even after I told him my legal age. At 22 I have a lot of hope for the next generation. They're being brought up with more care towards each other. I can't remember that my parents ever explained to my brothers how they should behave towards women, but i was told i couldn't go out with friends after dark because 'I was a girl' and they didnt explain the actual reasons behind it. Now when I'm talking to a 12 year old boy (at my job) I can explain any misconceptions he might have and tell him to look out for the girls around him and he'll listen attentively and ask questions. Imagine the kids who are now being born. Not only does it feel horrible to always have to be alert and scared, it also takes away a certain freedom. As a woman you won't do certain things for your safety men don't even have to think about. I truly hope that someday we'll be so many generations further that this whole mindset in society will be changed. Although I think I won't be alive to see it

I've been harassed 2 times this one time I was all dressed up and I was walking to my friends house and this car pulled up beside me and it was a grown man he kept on asking for my number and age I told him I was 15 but he still kept on following me I felt very uncomfortable so I just started running this was a scary experience for me he wouldn't stop following even after I told him my legal age.
