I’m glad Thor is ok!! My Chihuahua Gunner also had a seizure. He didn’t make any noise with his, he went to walk on our bed and just collapsed and started shaking. The vet said in our case it was probably because of his age and that in some cases older dogs can have them randomly (he’s about 15-16 years old). He never had one before and hasn’t had one since. Scared me to death, I thought we were losing him.

Girlie your lucky you only experienced one seizure. Someone in my classs has seizures and he had 3 in school. And, I also experienced one when I was 2 when it happened to my next door neighbor. But, since all of that happened, I can tell you more about seizures if it happens again. 1.Sometimes you can injure your head from a seizure from falling backwards so always check Thors head. 2. It can happen more than once 3. Seizures happen from a build up of electrons 4. Seizures are NOT common I hope this helped! And I’m glad that Thor is okay and doing well!
My dog suffered from seizures, she had a seizure and passed away, the same thing happened to her she was 8 years old. Her tongue fell out of her mouth and I thought she was gone then she took another couple breaths before she fully passed away. It’s very scary, I hope your doing okay and Thor is recovered now ❤️

Kass picks up Thor while Josh is in shock and can’t answer any question Kass is asking. So Kass takes Thor to her parents where they think he’s chocking so they start helping him with his “chocking” while Kass goes back to Josh and asks if he’s chocking, which Josh says no so she goes back to tell her parents and they stop. They end up taking him to the vet assuming his neck is broken but his eyes are still open. While driving, Kass calls Josh to figure out exactly what happened. So apparently Thor was barking crazily in his kennel so Josh takes him out where Thor bites him and falls on the bed and that’s when Josh calls Kass upstairs. They get out of the car and Kass gives Thor to a veterinarian there and out comes another veterinarian and asks what happened. Kass tells him everything and when he goes back he comes back out to tell Kass that Thor is fine and he’s walking around in the back in a kennel. It turns out he was having a seizure and he stopped breathing for a good 3 minutes.
My dog had a seizure about a year ago, he was trying to get up but he was unsuccessful. He was yelping the entire time on the way to the vet. I know how stressful it is and I’m so glad that she is ok ❤

That happend to my cat. She was stiff as a board, foaming at the mouth. I thought she was dead. I cried so much, I wrapped her in a towel and rocked on the floor. After a while she loosened up and started purring. The vet said she was allergic to the flea and tick meds I had put on her that day and it made her have a seizure. I'm so glad she's ok.

I’m so sorry that happened, trust me I’m trying to prepare for when that happens my dog is getting old, but I wish Thor a full recovery and you did amazing for acting so fast that is probably what saved him if you didn’t it may have ended bad... it’s also so cute how much moca cared for Thor!
I have been around 4 dogs while they were having a seizure (the first when I was 3-4 years old, 2 when I was 6-7 and 12-13, they were my grandma's dogs; and the last one was my best friend's neighbor's dog) and the best advice I can give is to remain calm because they can feel you panicking which will make it worse because they already don't know what's happening to them so they are already freaking out mentally, talk to them through the whole thing even after it's stopped, gently pet them (don't hold them down), and time it. If the seizure lasts more than 5 minutes, in my opinion (I'm not a vet, so don't take my word for it), take them to a vet - or have a vet come to your house or wherever you are - to make sure they aren't hurt after they come out of it. Yes I know you do the 5 minutes or over for humans when they're having seizures, but I recommend doing it for animals too just to be on the safe side.
This is really sad Kass. But I know how you feel because my dog has seizures and he's on meds for it :( And my dog is a lot like how you explained Thor before and after his seizures. I hope Thor's okay!
My brothers dog had seizures for a while and he would do that but he wouldn’t have like foam out his mouth but he would be stiff and Yelp a lot we think it is because of the food we were giving him cause we stopped giving him that food and he didn’t have any more seizures so maybe try and see if you are doing anything different from before he or she started having them and maybe kick that out of his routine and stuff like food or meds or something like that and see if he or she has any more seizures wish the best for you and your pets
My senior dog had a seizure at 13 yrs old then not again till 14 but she passed 😢😔I felt bad she was perfect happy n acted fine that morning she went out to potty she didn't come back to my door which was unlike her so I go out its 6 am its dark out still so I get flash light I found her gone she was warm still her tongue out eyes open I picked her up did cpr I was crying bad my kids was crying they never seen me cry that way before yet I still cry about her I wonder is it my fault she's gone or was it her time to go

Low and behold it stopped and she was fine. She lived for a long time after that and died of other health issues. Poor Thor and you guys

And it also brought back memories of a dog I had named Precious , one day she had a seizure and she never came out of it , she ended up by passing away .. I also had another dog named Chance and he had a seizure disorder and we were able to get him put on medication and he lived a full life until cancer came and took him .. I'm so very glad that your Thor pulled through and made it 💖 .. I will be 🙏 that he has no more seizures .... And yes , please tell us your other story

I think when Thor tried to bite Josh he was like struggling to breath and he was trying to bite him to prevent it from happening. That is a very scary incident but luckily to this day both Thor and Mocha are still alive! ❤ I don't own any dogs but I own bunnies and guinea pigs and if that happened to them I would be bawling my eyes out. They're the only thing that make me happy when I'm going through tough times well after your videos of course!!

That is so brave of you to stay brave and think. That was probably so scary. I would have been so scared for my puppy. Thor is such a strong puppy. Once my dogs necked swelled up well she was sleeping and it exploded and she started to bleed. I thought I was scared, but your is way scary.

I think when Thor tried to bite Josh he was like struggling to breath and he was trying to bite him to prevent it from happening. That is a very scary incident but luckily to this day both Thor and Mocha are still alive! ❤ I don't own any dogs but I own bunnies and guinea pigs and if that happened to them I would be bawling my eyes out. They're the only thing that make me happy when I'm going through tough times well after your videos of course!!

Yep, story time is good. As you were describing what had gone on, I was thinking he was having a Seizure. I hope it never happens again. Our little guy had on once from getting into poorly placed chocolate, totally scary.

Our dog used to have seizures and she was on medication for it... they were scary and when she had them all she wanted was for us to be beside her and talk to her softly and pet her...

That is so brave of you to stay brave and think. That was probably so scary. I would have been so scared for my puppy. Thor is such a strong puppy. Once my dogs necked swelled up well she was sleeping and it exploded and she started to bleed. I thought I was scared, but your is way scary.
I am so sorry that happened!! I am so glad thors okay!! My grandmas dog has epilepsy and has seizures all the time. Thor might have been scared in his kennel or excited to get out something like that maybe he just went to crazy! I am so sorry that happened! So glad hes okay
