I love the battleship use. For some reason in these big orbital games people always seem to spam laser platforms, but Omegas seem so much more versatile
When it comes to multiple planets I think people underestimate the power of orbital units. Can simply send to other planet then back to land directly on top of a commander.
one time we blew up a planet, the moon changed orbit, crashed into the main planet, and we lost. the planet mechanics are pretty cool, its reassuring people still play!
When people launch planets my heart always starts racing. Good players will send at one planet to make you feel safe or move, but then last minute send to a different planet that you maybe moved to.
I remember playing this with some friends in PvP... We were winning, we had it in the bag, but we decide on a grand finale and one of us preps halleys on one of these little planets like in this game and sends it at them. We all seat there watching in anticipation of our assured victory as we know where to hit it. Victory is assured! It will be a blast! A planetary blast! But then, suddenly... Something strange happens. Something unexpected... It crashes into *our* - full sized - planet... Exactly where all our commanders are. Silence ensues. For a while, no one says anything over TeamSpeak. Not a word written by our talkative opponents in chat. Just utter... Shock. Then cries of utter disbelief join written expression of laughter in chat. To this day we remember it with a meme, as "The Triple Facepalm Disaster". It was funny.
Damn dude, that was impressive! It's interesting how much difference the lack of Shields, and the Orbital layer, makes, compared to others in the genre. It makes "defense" in PA mostly about dodging the Com around, rather than sitting under a ton of Shields. I do think Orbital unit stacking is an issue for PA. Everything else has counter-play, but you really can't stop a giant swarm of Battleships from wrecking everything at the landing site. It upsets the balance of having so many options when one stands out so clearly above the others. If the game has Shields that would help, but I think giving air and orbital units some collision, to set a max density, would have been the best solution. Ground units have it, afterall. And it's not like you can infinitely stack defensive buildings, nor would it prevent the incoming damage, even if you could.
Orbital stacking can be somewhat countered by nukes, as everything directly over the nuke gets blown to kingdome come. Bit of a scorched earth tactic, but can work in a pinch
Wow the scale 😱 This was so intense :) I liked the 2 circles of orbital factories, beautiful :) The guy who lost commander to a catapult... That was funny :)
22:40 That was a brutal slapdown of the cocky bastard who tried to start charging the metal planet lmao. One second, he has a base, the next, 20 battleships are overhead and all his stuff is gone
some buddies, and i have been getting into this recently. any advice for when you start on the same planet as enemies? getting rushed is something we've been struggling with
Watch your gameplay after each match. You will see what you did wrong. Also get radar up and scout. If you see an attack coming then you know what you need for defensive structures or counter units. Also just watch very closely how myself and others start off each match. A good build order at the beginning can really help.
haha, it takes time to get used to the globe rotation much less multiple planets. Love this game for being different that the standard flat maps found in most RTS games.
To be honest not sure, there is always a guy name twodogshady I think and he always hosts this map so not sure if it is one that he created or what but this is the only map I ever see him host.
@@gambiter I hit a point where I get a brain freeze. I cant decide what to build next After watching this video, mass orbital is definatly the way. But the limiting factor is map size with resourses. Easy to spam on a 12 planet map Anti nukes are a deciding factor for sure
@@gambiter they were charging some ridculous price like £95 to try and raise more money basically. Titans was a relaunch of the game that they wouldnt have to give to their kickstarter backers for free. The orignal felt like it had been in early access before the stand alone titans expansion was released so you can imagine people were p***** off.
so this game is lets watch small 2d icons apear and disapear and iff you make all of the enemies small icons dissapear, the game says you won... wow what interesting gameplay...i mean cmon who doesnt love watching small yellow icons move left and right...
Thanks for checking in. I understand why this may not be entertaining from a visual perspective. This game is not graphics focused, but rather how to strategize and outperform an opponent. Think of it as real time chess rather than turn based. Chess pieces themselves are not too exciting.

Nice to see people still play this
Come play with us!

Sneaky players sometimes alter the planets course last minute.
lol the Halleys hitting the wrong planet was hilarious. Even funnier that there was actually a commander on it

That was an awesome game :D Super cool seeing the orbital battleships in action :D
Glad you enjoyed it. I have another good one I’ll be uploading this week.

I agree it could use some balancing.

Hahaha that is what happens when you threaten ones existence.
what it gods name is happening here
Planetary Annihilation, obviously.
Complete mayhem. In other words PA TITANS at it's finest.
out standing bud
Thanks, those multi planet matches can be tough to manage everything going on
I enjoy the ffa content
You can expect more to come.
Great job man!
Thank you!

Dude,.. fkn, CTRL group ur unit cannons. I mean WTF!
I hear you. Normally I don't bother with the grouping but I think unit cannons would be a good thing to start doing.
liked this gameplay footage. would haven been lost with 2 planets lmao.

35:15 god damn
Haha that match was nuts. So many planets to manage.
not sure if you're still around and posting videos but I really want to know the mod and map you used.
To be honest not sure, there is always a guy name twodogshady I think and he always hosts this map so not sure if it is one that he created or what but this is the only map I ever see him host.
What icon set is that?! The default icons are SO BAD.
I should be using the default here.
Love this game so much.. but.. lack of practice gets you killed in pvp fast.
I don't have a perfect build order, but if you have a decent one it can at least allow you to fight back and maybe win a few.

Bro u are real noob, with no hot keys and apm, but i enjoyed a lot watching this awesome video with your strategy. It is a nice game, thank you!
I’m not the best, but usually my tactics work. Glad you enjoy the content.
I like the planets names
I don't know if I ever looked at them before but they are funny

I remember this game. God did they botch the launch of titans
I was still relatively new to the game when that was launched so don't remember well how that went down.
