Yay for neutering. My little 9 month female kitty is getting spayed on the 21rst. I strongly believe in doing that for their health and prevention of unwanted babies.
I just had both my puppies fixed at 6 months old and then i learned it was the wrong thing to do. Their bones don’t stop growing until the hormones tell them to. Without a heat cycle or two it actually causes harm! I’m so upset because there’s nothing I can do about it now. Do not blindly trust what we’ve been told is best... Research everything. 🙏💕

I watch all these farms shows with Dutch and Dan and Kevin and Eddie. And I laughed my 🫏 off; because I don’t know anything about animals but I know when they’re trying to hump me. Can’t you just get a spray bottle with water in it; and instead of chasing them away with a stick, give them a couple of shots of water. You can’t psychologically hurt them or they would be coming after you in the first place. And right now every single one of these guys has got an emu, or a turkey, or something chasing up behind them! 😂😂😂😂
I think you’ll find Oreo staying home more than traveling. Once they are neutered, they seem more content. Plus you have a lot of things around the homestead for both cats to hunt and explore. When I had my male cat Alf, he would escape all the time. Once I had him fixed, he never left the yard. He was more content to be inside than outside. Had an indoor/outdoor cat that got in fights with the neighborhood males especially on holidays.Extra $$ emergency night holiday vet visits. Vet said to my husband finally if you love this cat fix him. Husband let him get fixed .Cat stayed home and became so sweet & loving lived to Wonderful old age.

It’s nice to see all the animals enjoying the sun,with all the nasty weather we’ve had it feels great to be able get outside to explore the new year without being soaked or frozen. My cats .dogs, chickens and Guineas are really loving it as we had 8inches of snow and temperatures of 12 to 15 below 0 winds chills of 25 to 36 below. It was brutal. I need warm weather and sunshine. So sorry didn’t mean to whine about the weather but it was nice to get it out now we can smile and keep on keeping on thanks God Bless love y’all ❤️👵🏻

We watch Simple Living Alaska You Tube Channel and they have chickens, the put 2 x 4's flat so the chickens can sit flat and cover their feet in the winter with their feathers

Great Pyrenees are sort of self cleaning dogs. One day they will be muddy and the next day they will be white again. We had 2 of them that is how I know this. If you do give her a bath make supper sure she is very dry all the way to her skin if not it could cause issues like hot spots and you DO NOT want that to happen.
I guess your cat’s surgery was to prevent him from”Tom-catting” -- to keep him safe. Lovely to see owners prepared to spend money to keep an animal well cared for. I’m a little distressed 😢with the attitude of another H’steader’ attitude to a vet’s bill. I’m sure vets are used to bills being paid off (gradually). Don’t listen to me gripping. I’m so sorry. I do LOVE your big white “Gobbler”. He is magnificent. Is your home finished yet? I do hope you are comfortable in your home. Getting the chickens a “SAFE” place for the night time is most important. I grew up on a few acres, a few miles from a decent creek. One of the most persistent oreditors were the Water Rats.. we as a family had a fantastic Dox Terrier, He was wonderfully. As a child I didn’t realise - my parents knew- I hardly made a move unless Tim was on my heels. Yes! He was my dog. Quite incredible. I must go but please know you are in my thoughts & prayers. They did remove Dixie‘s leg now it’s just a matter of time for Dixie to recuperate. She’s not gonna be able to care for the puppies so it’s going to be a rough time at the Eddy family farm. Yeah they’re doing everything they can.
Oreo should not wander looking for females, it may take a couple weeks for all the hormones to leave. It should also help stop the fighting although one of ours was still territorial and didn't like other males on his property
Poor baby, but it had to be done. At least he won't be wandering so much and making strays which is bad for the bird and small creature population. Its the responsible thing to do.
Brandon Eddy is having the same problem with their turkey Jerry like Tucker he's getting a little too friendly ❤❤❤ maybe it's breeding season for the turkey and they have imprinted on humans ❤❤❤ who knows for sure
There are some videos on utube that show how to cut the spurs off roosters. They will still have the aggressive attitude but they want be able to hurt you. You may want to consider this idea.
You should look into getting a drake for Dallas the way she is doing her neck and calling is called flirting and it's a female's way of trying to find a mate. Just a suggestion because my duck drove me nuts doing this.
Our male cat has been fixed for a while and whenever he and his 2 sisters are out they can disappear for days at a time. Doesnt help that we have 9 pups rhat want to play with the cats.

Put down cheep linoleum flooring in new chicken coop easier to clean and the smell doesn’t stain the wood and causes the strong smell.

Count it all joy . That comes from a Book I read . I do count it all joy , even if I don't like it . The book Helps . Glad to Oreo is okay .

Something happened to Gunner's mother and she had her front leg amputated.
I'm sure the Vet told you that after being nutered it will take some time for the urge to get out of his system weeks not days
