Love Raymond Moody's voice. Heard him on Coast with Art Bell decades ago I believe. Several times over the years. So happy to see him also here on RUclips. So soothing to listen to.
Same here at 72. First read Moody in '76. Met Fr. Rohr in Albuquerque in 1986, before he was famous. Made 754 poems the past 2¾ years, largely influenced by a brush with death and getting into surrealism. Always felt Camus correct about the Absurdity of the world. Studied Rublev at Orthodox seminary. This is great!😊
Awesome! The synergistic effect of these two guys together is powerful! Both have had a profound impact on my life. I'm so glad that we can all benefit from their combined intellect and wisdom!
The nonsense topic reminds me of the hilarious episode of Frasier when he forgot the words of " Buttons and Bows" during a public tv fundraiser. It's one of the most gut wrenchingly funny scenes in TV history. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for another great interview with Dr. Moody. 💖🙏🏾💖🙏🏾
I'll take that humor over the alternative reality of 76.9 million avidly falling for an intellectually bankrupt individual who ONLY can spew nonsense...for hours. Seems to signify a much bigger problem for the greater good. Apparently nonsense works.
I carried a vision through my life that i could not get a real grip of and make sense of. I observe in first person humans moving about their business. They are in a seperate room and i see them through a ”thick wall of glass”. I see it all in ”black and white. I felt wery sorry for them, that they do not know that they make ewerything in their life unessecearly hard for them self because they dont live by the simple law of truth. It was confusing to me that they did not know that the lies they where acting out and where living was so obvious and clear to see. I poundered upon ”Why did they choose to act as they did?” It sadenessed me greatly. I realised 56 years later that this is a memory from the time when i was borne. I was premature and lived my first weeks in a incubator. I also learned that a newborn childs early eyevision percive the world in black and white. Now i know that i felt great compassion and was wery wise when i came to this life.
Wonderful, wonderful!!! NDEs at 11 & 17. Thank you, Dr. Moody, for all you have done - and are still doing! I’m 76, still learning even more with this interview. Now new Suncoast subscriber!
My favorite Author Raymond Moody, thank you for posting this. I find his work fascinating and he has touched on my life really close, Once more thank you Suncoast Community Chruch.
I may be a little late, but I made it. Thank you for having Dr. Moody on again. You said you would, and you delivered. Truly appreciated. ❤❤❤ I had to come back and say... I've never once listened to Dr. Moody speak or read Dr. Moody books, where I haven't learned something new. Fabulous dialog between you both. As for the Beatles...it was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Thanks again.
Namaste. Some people you never tire of listening to. I first read his book in the 90s life after life.. had a profound effect on my life in many ways along with Dannion Brinkley. Saved by the light.. both came at life changing times..
Question to Dr. Moody: Has anyone ever reported to you that, in a short period of unconsciousness or sleep, they find themselves outside of their body traveling to a person who will die soon. They actually feel the feelings of the person below them as they hover above them. After observing them until the minute they die, they merge with the other person's mind and they reassure them that they will be OK, and they encourage them to let go of fighting what would be a painful death. Then they move through a tunnel with them, and sense the presence of a loving being and experience absolute love and serenity. Then they are zapped back into their body with a kind of a jilt, and are fully awake with enhanced perception of color; not one bit drowsy. This happened to me in 1983, and I have been perplexed by it ever since. Most people told me it was just a dream, but I remember it like it happened yesterday with total clarity and, at the time, I did not believe it was a dream. I have asked many people through the years if they understand it. One woman said that I could have acted as a psychopomp which I guess some cultures believe is a guide to the afterlife. This happened before I knew of your book or anything about NDEs, in fact one woman gave me your book shortly after I told her about this experience. At the time I was 24 years old, perfectly healthy, it was in the middle of the afternoon and I wasn't tired or sick or on any drugs. I sat down on the couch and without laying down, I went directly into sleep/unconsciousness. This can not be explained by lack of oxygen or drugs. The feeling of extremely intense unconditional love which also caused me to have unconditional love, at that moment, to everyone, is just something that has impacted me for the last 44 years. If you could let me know if you have heard another story like mine, I would love to hear about it. Thank you.
Founded in 1967 by Dr. Ian Stevenson, the Division of Perceptual Studies (DOPS) at the University of Virginia is a research group devoted to the rigorous evaluation of empirical evidence for extraordinary human experiences and capacities. The primary focus of DOPS is investigating the mind’s relationship to the body and the possibility of consciousness surviving physical death. In general, this process involves studying phenomena that challenge mainstream scientific paradigms regarding the nature of human consciousness. DOPS also studies the impact of these experiences on people, explores the implications for scientific theory, and disseminates this information broadly to both the public and scientific communities. It is our hope that other scientists join in addressing the serious study of the nature of consciousness and its interaction with the physical world.
YES!! The University of Virginia has contributed so much! This is extraordinarily important work! Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to watch. ✌&🤟
And it probably one of many reasons the world is in some sort of hypnosis. And we are currently in going a process of awakening.. what will that out come look like..
Am I the only one who thinks that Raymond Moody’s voice sounds like Fred Rogers’s voice in some aspects. When he was saying the story of dr Seuss I could’ve hear Fred Rogers if my eyes were closed.
I just wanted to say thank you. Re nonsense. My brother had a brain injury and later in life a life threatening stroke.. he now talks in his own language. And just maybe he knows God in ways we don't know through talking nonsense.. be good to hear back.. anything from someone who knows..
That's a really interesting thought! My Dad is severely demented and I wonder if his soul takes breaks at night to commune with others. Thanks for watching and sharing!🥰
The Holy Spirit is a being , a comforter, a guide. A spirit is who we are revealed as, just as we are when our tent is removed in death. God called thHoly Spirit moved upon the face of the deep during God*s creation of the world and plan plan of Salvation. The Spirit gave me the joy of God*s salvation.
The gift of tongues must be accompanied by the gift of interpretation. Otherwise the trance leads you away from The Holy Ghost. Nonsense isn’t from deity . “Meaningless” doesn’t describe truth at all. This message has much truth intermingled with nonsense. It won’t matter if you are a mile off or a foot. You miss the mark. Submit your heart to our Creator. God bless us all. ❤
Thank you for taking the time to watch. I value your opinion. In First Corinthians 14, Paul mentions the importance of having an interpreter when speaking in tongues in a public setting. He does not definitively approve or disapprove of speaking in tongues without an interpreter, except in cases where it can benefit everyone present. Of course, this should bring up questions about the reliability and authority of the interpreter, as there is uncertainty about whether their interpretation truly comes from God. This topic, like most, is open to interpretation and may not have a clear-cut answer, so personally, I prefer to take a more open-minded approach. Furthermore, if I choose to speak in tongues (unintelligible words) as a way to deepen my connection with God and expand my consciousness, who really has the authority to judge if I am on the right path?✌️&🤟
It is the icon of the Trinity as they appeared to Abraham and Sarah in the desert as angels We are not allowed to depict a portrait of God the Father. Jesus and the Holy Spirit, yes. This is the only icon of the Trinity. Icons are written, not painted, terminology wise.
Thank you so much for watching and for the insights on the icon! After I read your comments I was curious to dig around and learn some more! What I read didn't make it clear concerning the "written versus painted part". Can you clarify that for me? I also read that in Russian the same word can apply to both writing and painting. Is that true? If it is true then does that mean that the use of written in reference to icons is more nuanced than a strict rule? I did run across some interesting info that claims The Trinity by Andrei Rublev is the only notable exception to the prohibition. Is that because he depicts them as the three angelic visitors from Genesis 18? Thanks again! Fascinating stuff!
@@brettwestcoast Yes, the angelic trinity is the only time we know the images which were revealed to mankind. So depicting the three angelic visitors, The Holy Trinity, as the angels who visited Sarai and Abraham, that is the only "imagery" of God the Father which is approved. An icon is a sacred object, not a painting, and the imagery and symbolism tell a story. The duality of the Russian word is interesting. I was raised knowing it was called that from Russian priests I was raised with, and that "writing" is the term to use.
This might be the most wonderful informative talk I have heard in my 70 years

Babies create 'gobbledeegook' nonsense that eventually becomes language. They can babble incoherently and can keep themselves amused by themselves.
