it was explained in one of the filler eps that on each side of the grand line there is a calm belt which has no wind or currents so ur ship cant really move unless u paddle and its infested with sea kings which are basically the thing that took shanks arm but like way stronger
On each side of the grand line, there's water which separate it from the other oceans. Those strips of water are very dangerous to sail in so people rarely travel/cross those. You'll know when you watch episode 55 (it's half canon half filler episode) as other people already suggested.
In any of your next recordings just add 1 extra episode and you’ll be back on track.68-69 go together and 84-86 go together. There are calm belts on either side of the grand line. No wind and full of sea king nests. It was explained in the filler arc.
Once you reach an island, it begins to charge the magnetism of the next one. That's the only way they have to move around the Grand Line. You can also sail without Log Pose and pray to find an island, and then do the same with the next, but nothing guarantees that this will take you on a straight route so you will probably end up sailing in circles and also spending too much time searching for the islands in the middle of the ocean, with limited water and food and full of dangerous monsters and pirates. In fact, the real challenge begins when you try to enter, as you saw. Many pirates crash into the red line trying to find the updraft of Reverse Mountain, dying without even being able to access the Grand Line.
The 2 oceans on the side of the grand line are called calm belts They're no ocean currents or wind there making it impossible for ships to travel coupled with the fact that its home for sea kings as big as laboon n bigger.

Ahhh the 'To Be Continued...' screen - we all come to hate it eventually 😂😂
Did you notice Zoro sleeps most times during the day? Hehe, it's so he could stay up and protect the crew while they sleep at night.
