You can grow it in a pot but make sure it’s large enough for the plant to grow into a bush and keep it well watered if it’s really hot out. If it’s really baking out in he summer you might want to shade it during the hottest times of the day.
When I can't sleep and am stressed, I put a sprig of rosemary on my pillow. Works every time.

We had 3 human sized rosemary plants in our community grow domes. They have been since cut way, way back.
