US military could be moving past 'woke nightmares' with new recruitment ad

- Sky News host James Morrow has shared some evidence the Pentagon could be starting to “wake up” to the fact the world is a dangerous place after spreading “woke nightmares” over the past two decades.
Conflicts rage on across the world as Ukraine remains locked into a war with Russia and Israel’s incursion into Gaza continues after Hamas’ horrific terrorist attack.
Mr Morrow shared some evidence the Pentagon could be starting to “wake up” to the fact that the world is a dangerous place.
“Amidst these global tensions, the US Army has unveiled a new recruitment ad - one that actually focuses on, you know, doing army stuff,” Mr Morrow said.
“It's a far cry from the last US Army recruiting campaign, the one where the girl with two mommies decides to be a soldier as part of some personal enrichment journey.”
Mr Morrow said he is still “sceptical” despite this new ad after the US Army spent the last two decades running down the profession of military service with “woke nightmares”.
“Like this pup-play soldier and General Milley banging on about white rage.”

I would never recommend anyone to ever join the Army. There is no one who will treat you worse than the toxic leadership that the Army is plagued with.
A US army recruiter said about 35% of potential recruits are rejected due to being physically unfit. The rest probably all want a computer job, not physical combat. Almost every military member we meet here in Hawaii is in IT.

I remember a TV ad for the Australian Navy in the 80's. It showed a junior sailor on the deck of a small vessel with waves crashing over it at night and the theme song said "You'll be wet you'll be scared you'll be homesick, but the pride of the fleet will be you." I thought it was brilliant as it appealed to potential recruits who would have a realistic idea of what navy service might have in store for them, and wanted to be challenged.

Before 1948 palestine was country with Jews and Arabs together. The conflict was much longer since 1928 and 1929 Tel Aviv was existing. and since 1948 when Israel was announced 7 Arabs countries was attacking Israel. and lost at the war of independence of Israel. Arabs who lived in Israel couldn't make Israel prosperity like the jews did and they just were full of Jealousy over Israeli hard work of the land. Without us this country would be like Iran today. The thing about Arabs is that they just do not like to WORK to PROSPER. That is why they would still revert to ancient methods (war) to get their way. Too much praying and whinning to their "Allah" and no work from them. I feel as if they want us to spoon fed them by providing for everything. All they need to do is force their way in and take everything that is the fruit of another person's hardwork. Gaza is one great example of no improvement from them since Israel left them alone.

Biggest detriment to the army currently is women in combat arms. My son is an E6 & Sqd Ld and they can not perform necessary field tasks required to successfully complete the missions. In reality women are a detriment to the mission before GO!
Yes, there is a lot of talk from the political woke left of men and women being equal, but we all know that they are not equal in muscular build, reaction time, strength and bone density. Also men are usually more agressive in a fight due to testosterone.
That is not to say women are not equal to men, just that they are different.

Im 57 years old, retired Air Force and feel the last generation of parents failed the eligible recruits by lowering standards and by accepting mediocrity. It poisoned this generation. Why would they give up their "entitled" status to conformity even with the lowering of standards and maximum age changes to increase recruitment? I grew up in a time when we learned to tie shoes before kindergarten rather than resorting to velcro. We knew how to read a tape measure and tell time on an analog clock. We signed paychecks in cursive. We knew what spackling was by 8. We had pick-up games and didn't rely on parents to drive us to practice... We ran there. Not everyone received a trophy, and we kept score! We knew how to give change back when someone gave us a few cents over. We played outside and drank from hoses. We actually had to have the courage to talk to girls rather than make up a fake social media account and hide behind words. We earned enough money to buy a beater car and were proud to have it. We weren't handed a new car at graduation. We knew what patriotism was at an early age, and many of us served for that reason alone to preserve and protect the right for this generation to have the creature comforts they enjoy. And we adapted quickly to technology and still outwork this generation! Tough love and a competitive spirit foster teamwork and good morale. We need to stop the weak ass excuses and be real parents and mentors! We have only ourselves to blame for this predictable outcome!
US Army recruiting jumped the shark when they started the Army of One campaign. Army of One! What color is the sky in that world? No Go.
That slogan, thankfully, only lasted 5 years - from 2001-2006. I could not believe when I first heard it. I did not understand the slogan, since the military is all about teamwork. There is no such thing as an Army of one and it struck me as anathema to what military service was all about.

I’ll never forget when the CG at Benning decided he was going to do away with the “shark attack.” He briefed the drill sergeant cadre (of which I was one) and had the audacity to not believe his ears when I questioned his plan. For the next two days, he sent my Battalion Commander out to the rifle qual range to “get a better understanding” of why Drill Sergeant Marquez was not onboard with his plan. Really??? You’re gonna send a 0-5 out to investigate little ‘ole me, a lowly E-6??? Who cares what I think??? Maybe he wasn’t used to hearing anyone disagree with him.
But long story short, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’m retired now. My family, past to present, have served this nation (USA) in uniform. We took great pride in that. No more. No way am I pushing my son to join. You can keep your woke agenda. Good luck running your army.

The Army needs to start embracing the warrior in regards to recruiting. Many young men want to be taught that lifestyle and we need leaders who are capable of that. The Army’s mission is land warfare dominance. Let people know the Army is a place to be developed and made into that lethal soldier you need on the battlefield. Or keep doing what your doing with marketing and see numbers continue to tank.
