    While HMS drivers may not be the most electric in the personality dept., you can not argue with the success that has come with their way of doing things. I’m all for personality at times, but I also feel it brings distraction. Look at Hamlin, 60 wins and zero championships. As much as I can’t stand Hamlin, I won’t argue with his success driving, but I feel he brings distractions and chaos which prevents him from winning a championship and solidifying him as an all time great.

    Honestly what's missing in nascar right now is commercials with the drivers these sponsors need to go back to the 90's and the commercials with the drivers and learn that's when nascar was at the top of everything because of that one thing bring back the commercials

    • @kevinsmith8561
      @kevinsmith8561 7 месяцев назад

      I think part of the problem is that in the 90's, those drivers were pop culture figures. Even non-race fans knew Earnhardt, Gordon, ect. Now Nascar is so far removed from pop culture that these companies don't want to invest into doing commercials with the drivers.

    No more Camaro, or Mustang. Threatening EV cars to replace gas engine cars. How much more life does NASCAR have. I’m a lifelong fan , was at Richard Petty race in Toronto 1958. Been watching Wide World of Sports on ABC , the Speed Chanel . TNN , Fox , I’ve figured out internet apps to watch now, and frankly I’m not sure anyone can be life contract guys. I’m just saying, let’s pull those belts tight and go racing!

    • @eacaraxe
      @eacaraxe 7 месяцев назад

      I may be in the minority, but I think an EV NASCAR cup could be the shot in the arm stock car racing needs. NASCAR is already won and lost on pit strategy, ability to negotiate a pack, and drafting -- all areas in which EV's are actually strong as compared to ICE vehicles. The biggest difference would be figuring out how to modularize battery packs, and work battery pack swaps into a pit stop opposed to refueling.
      Start with a limited series across road and short oval courses, and don't just rein in the overbearing regulations, start offering prize rewards for innovation. If a team brings something special to the track without compromising safety and they dominate for a race or a season, instead of banning it like NASCAR does now, cash it out and publish it for all teams to use moving forward.
