The Khmer Empire existed back to the 800th AD and possibly even earlier… covering a vast majority of SE Asia. Khmer is one of the oldest civilizations in that area and have existed long before the neighboring countries formed their own by taking our land. The evidence was engraved in our previous Angkor Wat, which no one can deny. Ancient Khmer martial arts named Bokator / Prada’s Srey have been practiced for ages. I’m a proud Khmer. Of course those carvings are real, they tell our ancient history. All of the carvings on our ancient temples are evidence of our history and existence. The carvings are the only surviving evidence we have to this day that is well preserved, and also through oral history that is passed on from generation to generation. #KnowYourHistory🇰🇭
i wouldnt say all of the masters died during the war. as researchers of the art said, a few masters survived HOWEVER, because they were so traumatized (PTSD) by the war , they still fear speaking out or anything related to the martial arts.
