It reduces my anxiety, I sleep uninterrupted and well and get woken up by the alarm. Worth trying if you have a similar problem. It may or may not work for you.
We've been experimenting with the Q Collar (bit.ly/3OHSztD) which is used to protect against micro concussions. They sent us a couple to try out, so we're using them when at the bike park and racing enduro. Nice work on the third. Off topic question. Is there much difference between the Pearl Izumi stuff and Shimano stuff, given it's all owned by the big S? Cheers.
PI is actually no longer owned by Shimano (as of a few months ago) and while they did share some factories, the designs, etc were done by different designers (PI by their people and Shimano by theirs) so there was pretty much no overlap.
Unfortunately we've already done the order for this year but we'll be fine an order for next year's kits at the end of this year or early next, so stay tuned!

@sydandmacky what is the benefit of sl recovery drink over a post ride protein shake? Also what elbow pads would you guys recommend? looking for something that isn’t like a full sleeve.
Good response from irfuel re the recovery drink. We have started adding collagen peptides (protein powder) to ours, especially after gym sessions when the focus is more on building/maintaining muscle instead of recovery from an aerobic workout. In terms of elbow pads, we don't wear them very often but the best ones we've found are the PEARL iZUMi Elevate (more protection but heavier - bit.ly/3AcJfsp) and Summit (less protection but more comfy - bit.ly/3pzip90).

It's hard to say in terms of personal benefits from a scientific standpoint, but in terms of comfort and usability, it's been great. I generally pop it off for the chairlift and then put it back on for the descents. I tried climbing in it a bit at Glorieta maybe a month or so ago and it was annoying at first but I quickly stopped noticing it. Generally, not a thing in the US. No one uses the pull-down safety bars at any US ski resort that I've ever been at (I've been to many). But, it's definitely a requirement elsewhere in the world.
