I don't know about Canada, but the hospitals here in the states always provide icy pack liner, cooling pads and dermoplast spray. When I left the hospital from my first delivery, I got a bag full of postpartum stuff from the hospital.

That's how I pack too. Not too much. When in labour I don't want anything other than water and lip balm and after it's all about baby 😊
