Darlings thank you so much for your kind words and lovely comments on all the vlogs so far! You may have noticed a wierd fake account pretending to be me - saying you’ve won a competition, as quickly as I block them a new account appears 🤣 not sure what they’re hoping to gain from it but just so you’re aware it is very much a fake account! 🤍
@Sinead Eastwood how did it have your email? Are you sure you’re not referring to the notification that RUclips sent you because someone replied to your comment?
0:16 that has to be the most beautiful scene in the intro for me personally, the way you open the doors and the way camera moves as you walk away is just amazingly beautiful
No heat reminds me of growing up in the Cotswolds, we didn’t have any heat, other than fires, thank you for the trip down memory lane. Living overseas now, your images melt the miles. I loved Cheltenham on Christmas Eve and Burford is a true Cotswold shopping experience, so many treasures to explore throughout the Cotswolds-Stay warm. 🎁.
Wood burning fires kick out a ton of PM 2.5. It’s soot, basically. It’s very bad for your lungs. It’s the same soot that comes out of diesel vehicles. Wood burners are nice but very polluting. I always notice my chest is congested after I light ours
Absolutely loving your vlogs, they are so festive, thanks for sharing. Listening to you talk about the air quality in your rooms, have you checked that your chimneys do not have any cracks/leaks? I’ve had this issue in my house our chimney was leaking into the bedroom above it, a fire two floors below shouldn’t really impact the air quality in your room? Hope this info is of use? A professional can check if the chimney is sealed with a smoke bomb and a carbon monoxide alarm can also provide some reassurance
Hi Josie you talked about the strong firewood smell in your bedroom. When we moved into to our house we lit the log burner downstairs but all of upstairs filled with strong smoke. When we had the burner removed we found that the fumes were coming into the rooms through tiny gaps in light fittings etc because the flu / liner hadn't been fitted correctly. Perhaps get the chimney / flu checked. Happy Christmas xx
Josie.... I can't remember if I told you or not but the beginning of your Christmas vlogs you and that red dress is just spectacular it looks like it was made for you. I give you a lot of credit for getting up so early to exercise when it's pitch black outside. But it definitely pays off because you have a great figure. I couldn't believe the size of that the dining room table it looks like it belongs in a castle I'm sure you'll serve some wonderful dinners there. I love those two little doggies jumping next to you on the couch they love you so much. Looking forward to your next vlog 🥰
You can get the local fuel company to top up the tank monthly then you don't have to remember to order it. Also go to said local company and you can use some plastic containers (they charge a small hire fee plus deposit) to get fuel from them - this will tide you over till the delivery.
Hi Josie, as I don't do instagram, I didn't know you had officially said you were getting married, even though you have showed us looking at wedding dresses, I would love you to mention in a vlog for those of us who don't do instagram, what month it is you and Charlie are 'tying the knot' also your hair looks amazing and I do love it straighter, beautiful vlog ♥️
In Vermont some of our older homes with the 1800’s windows use full window panes that provide the modern e glass that are put on over our older windows but do not cover the beauty of the windows. You put them on in winter only. It makes them as efficient as modern windows but doesn’t take away from their character. Also Charlie could go to get oil and put it in himself. 25 gallons a day will do.
Amazing Vlogmas as always! So sorry to hear about your oil, although having all the stoves going in a chilly house is very cozy and Christmassy. 🎄Just a note on the air quality - obviously smelling the smoke means that you are inhaling some of the particles so its not great but carbon monoxide is odourless and lethal. You might want to check your home insurance because normally it requires you to have a carbon monoxide reader in every room with a fire or stove. Either way its great peace of mind knowing that if anything went wrong the alarm is there to let you know (you can buy very small discreet ones or they can be built in to the smoke detector). Sorry for that downer! But we've just started using our stove this winter and safety's been on my mind! ❤
Live in California and currently day 4 of a total kitchen remodel. Purchased Perrin and Rowe hardware from London along with a large kitchen sink like Charlie spoke about. Your styles are a wonderful influence. Love your content. Thank you Josie
Absolutely fabulous video as always! Your vlogs just make my day every time! ☺️ Pro tip on the brow growth serum (you might already know this)- it does work AMAZINGLY well, but once you stop using it you’ll actually lose the new hairs over a period of a few weeks. No idea why, I personally experienced this and one of the ambassadors for the brow serum was talking about it in another video. Totally worth it to just keep purchasing refills though because it works great! 💖
Since watching you test mince pies 🥧 I thought I’d do a bit of testing also - my current favourites are Cooplands Brandy Butter Mince Pies, honestly Josie they are yummy 🤤 - if you get chance do try them, I’d love to know how you think they compare xx
I thought I was going to freeze to death in Ireland when there were some cold days in the summer when I was visiting. The hear was on and I had plenty of blankets and was given a hot water bottle for the first time. It warmed me up for sure and I felt like this is what it must have felt like for my relatives before they had heating. The toilet seats were so cold. Coming from California I hadn’t experienced super cold toilet seats. I hope you get your heating oil which I didn’t know was still a thing. Might be time to go to La La’ s house or stay in her apartment on your property since it won’t take much to heat it. Or off to Straw Cottage since it isn’t rented for Xmas. Shockingly, Los Angeles is having cold weather for the next ten days and my heater has been turned off for 3-4 years in my apartment. I know it doesn’t compare to the cold weather in the English Countryside. Cheers, Josie!
Hope your water pipes don’t freeze before you get a oil. And yes your wood-burning stove is producing carbon dioxide not a lot of oxygen in the room if you have too much of the smoke going on. Be safe and do clean the air!
You could get married with no make up no beauty prep no hair prep and wear a dressing gown and look wedding ready. You are so real natural and glowing. Xxx
And PS. I have a similar dining table. Mine seats 14 if you’re cosy. Don’t worry too much about the inevitable marks from a drippy water glass, hot cup or warm casserole server. This will happen. When you get a white mark, take a hot clothes iron and iron a smooth tea towel on top of the mark. This will pull the steam out of the varnish and reset it.
Oh no! I am sorry about the heat! How does oil heating work? I’m from Canada and I’ve never heard of that and would love to learn. 🙂. I hope you get your oil delivery soon!
Realness! I also use my teeth to keep my hair separated when styling. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who does this. Hahaha but seriously. I haven't had a mince pie in decades but you make them seem so tempting.
The problem with your furnace oil Is likely solved by now but furnace oil is just diesel fuel. In an emergency you can get clean petrol carry cans and fill at any petrol station that sells diesel for cars. Also farm tractors often run on diesel so you could borrow 10 gallons from a neighbour. Remember to label the cans as diesel as you don’t want to accidentally use a diesel can for petrol or vice versa.
Hello Josie! The dining table is beautiful , it looks enormous lol. I hope Charlie measured 😂. I made a veggie shepherds pie a few times and has the filling made with lentils and other veggies and then mashed potatoes on top, or the sweet potatoes or even squash would be really yummy😄😋.
You & Charlie are getting MARRIED next year🥳🎉 how did I miss that?!?!?! What excellent news❣️🥰 CONGRATULATIONS 🤩 I did think so but I’m sure you never actually said WHEN??? Xxxxx
It is true that all the fires burning is not very healthy. Recomendation is that you should let in fresh air after having a fire or candle. But it is probably fine for a few days.
20:30 yes! I wish I knew about fireplace and wood. I want to light mine but I hear so many things about wood types, air quality, etc... Seems too complicated
PPS and you can get Charlie a ratchet set for his stocking. They’re often on sale this time of year at the hardware store. I even saw an advent calendar socket set with a ratchet last week.
Do you have small space heaters that can be plugged/unplugged? I think for areas that have neither fireplace nor agar, a small space heater is a good (temporary) alternative. Will also not disturb the air quality. Your home looks so lovely for the holidays!!! ♥
Josie hahahaa your ratchet song question. It has two meanings : one is a tool like a wrench that Charlie is referring to and the other means like ghetto or trashy, thats the version from the carol baskin song 😂
A beautiful Vlog againJosie, that pink dress while you was eating your mince pie was stunning 🤩 love watching you and Charlie cooking 🧑🍳 it’s probably my next fav from the fashion. Hope you have heating soon as it’s way to cold to be with heating. X
I was also shocked to see my Dyson's air quality diagrams ... it's very sensitive, it reacts even to my perfume but it makes me more mindful about what I'm inhaling
Please be careful sleeping in a room with your stove on too often - it’s beautiful and I know your having to right now as you have no fuel - but long term it really won’t do your lungs much good - you may feel fine and healthy but it’s the longer term effects my love 🥰🥰🥰
Good morning josie you are so beautiful I hope you charlie dexter and Dickens are well I love your introduction very lovely and festive thanks so much for your lovely vlog your hair looks so beautiful stay safe xxx

Thank you Josie for letting us know that it is a fake account.
I reported one on here just now 🤗
Yes, they tell you that Josie has a prize for you but could you send money for the shipping
I had Got something for you.WhatsAppMe. I subscribed, thought It was you ? Now I have unscribed. Hope I did the right thing Josie?

Josie: "what is a ratchet?...Classy, bougie, ratchet" 😂😂😂
Charlie: I'm trying to explain about the table please....
Josie, you do make us laugh ❤️❤️
I’m still in awe of your opening! Your best ever. Puts me in the Christmas spirit!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
It’s really beautiful and all the cosy vibes 🌲
So true! Same here 🥰🌲

The golden headband makes you look like an absolute godess!✨🌟💫
I went to the supermarket to give mince pies a second go yesterday after seeing you purchase an array, and I’m pleased to say it was delightful 💕
The table is beautiful! May you share many happy meals with family and friends!
That headband is really Royal and you look so beautiful with it!!!!
Lol, like a Tudor Princess

Do houses there have fire alarms or CO monitors. I love the smell from a fire but you need to be careful too. Loving the vlogs.
Loved folding my laundry while I watch 💖 best part of my day
You have the most beautiful Intro ever, I get goosebumps every time I watch it....so so so amazing.....
It really is so beautiful 🌲

You are smashing youtube currently. By far the most real and entertaining content. So adorable.

Daily dose of beauty and magic ❤🎄🎀 thank you,
Josie! 🌹 Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸❤
I hope we are all invited to your wedding ! Even if we’re your vlog guest ❤️
Please go and buy a carbon monoxide detector for each of those rooms , just in case your chimney stack is leaking

Loving vlogmas! Josie, please google how to chop vegetables - learn “the claw” way of holding them before you lose a finger!
Shes a big girl and probably cut veggies for ages i’m sure she knows whats she doing😉
Your hair looks so lovely when it's natural. Love the new dining table.

Those Heston lemon mince pies are 👌......I love those ones warmed up with a nice dollop of extra thick brandy cream! 😋 xxxxx
Do you have a recipe card for that dinner? I'm always looking for more meatless options :)
Josie hahahaa your ratchet song question. It has two meanings : one is a tool like a wrench that Charlie is referring to and the other means like ghetto or trashy, thats the version from the carol baskin song 😂
Hope you get your heating sorted out soon... Take care...
