@@DimiArt Cavill is too grim, humorless, not charismatic in the role. Reeve's Superman captures heart, optimism, and wonderful humor. His portrayal of the two sides of Superman--Clark not being just a disguise but a genuine part of him--is electric. And Reeve's Superman is imbued with some of the gentleness of Clark, just as we can see Superman lurking behind the Kent persona. And the acting when he discovers Lois buried beneath the landslide! No disrespect to Henry, but Reeve's performance is outstanding, enabled of course by the script and directing as well. Reeve's humanity makes the "godlike" attributes of the character all the more awe-inspiring. The wonder and sunniness of Reeve's first two Superman films (let's forget the other two) I've only seen matched in Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. It wasn't Cavill's fault that he was cast in those particular movies, but due to a combination of circumstances, Reeve owns the role.
