Stumbled upon Sadie on RUclips a few years back, and have been a fan ever since. Quibble all you want about the details, but she's got something special going. I wish her a long, enduring presence in live music.
I love the original but most people could not do justice to it. This just blows me away.
Best remake of the Clapton original I've ever heard. Has a real live presence missing from Layla. Sure, there are hiccups, but that makes this live version even more emotionally sincere to the spirit of the original. Great job Sadie and Bart! It's like you're sitting in the mid-section front row seats. I suspect a studio version would be even more commanding and overwhelming.
I had no idea who Sadie Johnson or Bart Walker were. I just happened to check out this little Blues fest near my hometown. I didn't have any big expectations. Just wanted to visit with some friends. These two had my undivided within two minutes of starting to play! They were so good.

I've listened to the Derek Trucks Band do this with Susan Tedeshi singing. She has nothing on you. Great job excellent

Sadie you have an awesome voice, but you should try to calm down a bit. Your nervousness let make u little mistakes, or that u gave ur band an upsign, im sure they already knew that the bridge is coming. Anyway, glad to see u playing this great tune, im a very big clapton fan myself and sometimes pretty nervous on stage too. Btw try the standar B chord second fret instead the B7 chord :) I find that fit better.

Too bad she has to suffer that bass player and the drummer.
Some songs are just not meant to be covered. This is OK, but just doesn't work. Clapton's voice is just as important as his playing and the playing here just doesn't come close.
Clapton voice can never be replaced
