Oh this video chose emotional violence! Loved so many of your choices in this one, starting from how the audio effect from the song aligns with WWX turning away, amd then through all of the scene selections during the lyrics (esp "is it too late to try" and every scene with inquiry, especially the glitchy moment), the transition of the beatings, and ending on the brand, underscoring how he branded himself in order to try to get closer to WWX in any possible way (and how pain/punishment helped with that, or at least he felt it did). This is such a perfect LWJ-perspective edit, i loved it 💕

The transition from innocent cloud recesses to the brutal reality of war in the entire video was incredible, Peach! The end scene where it changes from Wangji getting whipped because of Wei ying to getting whipped FOR his Wei Ying was beautiful and tragic :’) Great edit 🧡

The color balance you achieved, the cuts blending into each other, and I say it like every video but your sense of lyricism and storytelling is absolutely unparalleled. “I would still be holding you like this” had me on the floor rethinking my entire existence. Gorgeously done. I thought this song wouldn't really fit them, because they do end up with a happy ending, but if you only look at the story until WWX dies it actually fits perfect. Wonderfully edited.

Wow...just wow! This one hurts! How the video first starts with how innocent Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian were in the cloud recesses to the war that resulted in Lan Wangji losing Wei Wuxian. Ending on Lan Wangji about to brand himself just hurts! Wow this is beautiful! Captures the tragedy of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji before Wei Wuxian is resurrected. Love this!😭❤️🤍
