I think Ansaldobreda still supply these VFD's with their currently produced trams. I have seen videos of Sirio's that have been built with them, and the Sirio is still available at the moment with a batch being built for Beijing rather recently. Although it now seems popularity for Ansaldobreda has dropped after all the problems with the Gothenburg M32's.
The VVVF Hz frequency is the same as the HRI Driverless Metro (i.e. Milan M5) and Genoa's 30 series trains (sets 31-37) As a trolleybus fan it is really unusual to hear the same VVVF from the trains in a trolleybus. The only other trolleybus with a train VVVF drive i heard are the Berkhof trolleybuses. Keep in mind that these trolleybuses were produced by Breda, so this may explain the use of this particular drive, as it's used in many italian produced trams, trains and trolleybuses.

See if you can get into the VF settings using an OBD tool, then change the PWM frequency setting (sometimes known as the carrier frequency) to as low as it will go, or somewhere around 1000hz.
That's the best sounding Trolleybus I have ever heard! 😀
GadgBoy313 same
I agree, GadgBoy313.
Everytime I visit Naples, I always enjoy riding these epic trolleybuses.
I just love that sound. Makes me wish modern VFs still made that sound...

Volvo B10M yeah they’re getting a bad reputation with all these problems and parts coming off
Classic amazing AnsaldoBreda. Loved it
Reminds me of the T68-A
Epic trolleybuses indeed! I've timelapsed most of the routes they are allocated on.
Interesting sounding Breda trolleybus... I wonder which engine they use for the diesel generator, sounded almost like a 2-stroke engine for a moment.
Same VF drive as the Manchester Metrolink T68a Trams Ben and also the Copenhagen metro.
Our older light rail MAX trains here in pdx make a very nice noise upon departing. I’ll have to video it someday

Ah i forgot, japanese Tateyama and Kurobe Dam trolleybuses also have VVVF drives. They are GTO Toshiba inverters
These are AnsaldoBreda F19 busses. Mertro Copenhagen sounds the same and is also made by AnsaldoBreda. Coincidence? No.
Oh wow sounds is almost identical to the old trams on the Midland metro!
Sounds epic wish we had these buses in other parts of the world
Awesome
This reminds me of an IET class 800 motor! It just sounds like it but the pitch is higher!
The Diesel engine also sounds like an ADL E400H when they go on full throttle too
Sounds like something on an AnsaldoBerda Tram.
It sounds like R2D2 latching up 😂
The VF sounds like the viennas U6 Pantograph U Bahn
By the way the trams are not abandoned, there is just a major road work and the trams can't go through there
And as of 2020 they're now running once again
Plastic seats seem to be all the rage on Naples' public transport
Naples Public Transport? Everywhere in Italy 😂😂😂

I wish my electric car sounded like this.

Beno
I think it might be scary..
Also is this a bus or a train lol...... is it electric ?
@@beedslolkuntus2070 trolleybus
I want to buy an electric bus just to fit this VF to it, perhaps one of the Harrogate Volvo 7900's when they retire.
Funny
The sirio trams and these busses make an epic VF sound, but everybody knows that AnsaldoBreda is kinda shit
