Thank you for reminding everyone that God is in charge. I live in North Carolina. I have a home in Western NC and one in central NC. I saw first had the liberal governor done nothing to help western NC. The church’s across the state and other states have helped not state or federal government. Property taxes were sent out for people that had their houses washed away and expected to pay. People in Western NC are tough people and they will not be pushed out. It is very cold in NC with real temperatures in the low teens tomorrow morning and the mountains around zero in the morning. I pray that Canada like the USA can recover from liberal leadership and hopefully start to dig out of the mess or at least stop digging the hole. Thanks for sharing today.
We had 4-5" of snow, way less than initial forecasts of 10-15". It was 4F last night. Siri says that -15C. I don't like the snow or cold either! This is a good time to declutter. rearrange, and haul things to Goodwill. I hope the legal challenge works for Canada. Oven cleaning - ugh. Stay warm, stay safe. 💖

In the mid-1990's I was living in Indiana and driving one of those big yellow State snowplows. Always got a kick out of pulling up to a gas station and hopping out during 12-18 hour shift to get a drink or food. Rural here - always good ole boys hanging out at the gas station, so a big yellow snowplow pulls in and this skinny girl climbs out. Good ole boys' faces always cracked me up. Fun times. Thank God I don't have to do it anymore 😂

California environmental types got laws passed that restrict forest thinning and tree trimming near power lines right of ways. Then real estate developers got hold of mountain lands and then put in housing developments, towns right in the thick of the forest. You can guess the rest of that scenario.

I hear the US is in for a wallop of a winter storm, and what snow fall they are expecting would be considered average here...the issue for some of those is that perhaps they don't have the equipment for snow removal as it it a rare event...Here snow removal equipment is a necessity!
I hate cleaning the oven too. I have put aluminum oven sheets in the bottom of my oven to to help eliminate the mess with spills or overflow. Dollar tree has disposable aluminum cookie sheets that I sometimes use for this purpose .

Being bigger doesn't mean being better. You think Canada is regulated now? Check into what its like to live in Russia. Check into the rules and regulations there. Talk to folks who have left there because of what life is like. I'm not saying you need to join the US but for the love of God don't think joining Russia will make your life better.

We are a sovereign nation and it can be viewed as an act of aggression which is no different to China taking over Taiwan or Russia invading Ukraine.

I’m tiny like you & can’t stand this cold weather & putting on sweaters & coats, scarves & gloves.. & boots with heavy socks! I love my cut off shorts, T’s & sandals in the sun! I love being outside.. in the Summer & in my garden or enjoying my flowers with a glass of homemade iced tea. This weather is not for me. We just got back from AZ. It was gorgeous out there! I think I should look for those aluminum sheets at the dollar store. I.m sure I have seen something that would help the reduce clean-up of spills.
