I think there is no shame in admitting that you love tier 9s because it's +1/-2 matchmaking, you get to feel powerful without being OP, and you get to beat up Tier 7s once in a while.
When I play tier 8 I rarely see tier 8 only and virtually never see tier 6. Literally 70% of my games are against tier 9 and 10. Maybe it is that CC mm for QB.

Tier 9 battles made up 23.91% of the battles. So you play bottom +1 and +2 only 43.39% of the time, which is not even close to the "literally 70%" you mention. This really shows how poorly people can assess things like these and how much your personal biases distort the reality. Of course in a small sample size the 70% figure does happen on occasion, but it certainly is not the average in the long run. I don't know what it's like for an average player, but I certainly agree with QB. I like being top tier and I like being bottom tier. I dislike battles with just one tier.

My issue with ±2 is that its way too damn common. If it were once or twice every 50-100 battles i wouldn't mind it. But trying to play tier 6 having fun with a kv-2 to then just meet a bz and get annihilated or trying to find an elc even with something that isnt an even its infuriating. And its so damn common
To be fair the BZ played by someone even remotely competent can ruin a T10's game. The ELC is fully annoying but not so much now that "six sense" is on every commander. A bit of knowledge and you know where the ELC is hiding as soon as you get the spotted warning. The little rat bastard won't fire and will normally keep humping the same bush till late battle.
I agree, and there are too many mismatches. You play your t37 tier 6 scout and a Bourasque t8 with commanders vision outscouts you every time. You play your armoured tier 6 AT tank and the tier 8 skorpion/su premiums eats you like your a donut. Same with your armoured slow Churchill7, the tier 8 heavies, tds and mediums dont have any problem with your "strong" armour. The difference is too big. Wargaming has to adress this. Slow tanks that rely on their armour lost all their advantages when they meet tanks two tiere higher. You better take your rhm borsig against tier 10 tanks, then your t28. And you get way more plus 2 tier matchmaking. This complete year I didnt got any tier 6-7-8 game in my ts5 but almost 65% tier 10 games.
The thing with grand battles at tier 8, as someone who has them enabled, is that because some people (don't know how many) don't want them, I never play them either. I would like to be able to queue for grand battles, if I'm playing a non meta premium or grinding exp on a tank (which is most of the time) I would rather not fight tier 9s and 10s.
"Loving" +2/-2 matchmaking by arguing that your most beloved tier is tier 9 cause you have tier 10 capabilities with barely meeting tier 10 and never tier 11... is not quite consistent. You just love not being low tier and tier 9 is the only one in the game where this is possible.

The reason I can't vouch for this tank, there's the AMBT at tier 8, an auto-reloader that does exactly the same burst The AMBT trades some top speed for some more reliable armor. Fair trade, except it's a full tier lower

Tbh i had a few years of break from wot i started playing again recently and i dont recall feeling so blind in my tanks getting lit up without seeing who is spotting me... And im not talking about light tanks... I mean all types.
And the first game play shows why. He stands in the bush with the “new“ equipment and fucks up all the camo of the enemies. All of the TDs where helpless and even in a 61m distance the centurrion was not able to spot him. And due to his camo equipment he never got spotted. That and the 3-5-7MM make it so fking difficult
yes its a problem will how all the crew skills, (bond) vents, food, low noise exhaust system and field mods stack up to give him insane camo. But....hes using an equipment slot to get that +8% camo where he could be using vert stabs. Also if QB had moved in that bush he wouldve been spotted, but since he stayed put he retained 100% of his camo.

@@PSYCHOBANDITTT Lying. No. Not telling the entire truth. Yes. The UDES 03 3 is not a very good tank without max equipment or max crew. It also is not very forgiving when played by a tomato player. On some maps this tank is average. On others it excels. However, with best set up and played by a good player the tank is great.
I prefer playing the udes over the char. The char is more of an assassin, and you need to pick your timing just right or you pay. With the udes it is more rounded. Making it more flexible
I started playing again when this is available in the premium store. I bought it and instantly fell in love with it. I used to enjoy playing heavy armored tanks, but this lovely tank changed my mind. P.S. The last time I played WoT was when the M41 Walker Bulldog still had the 10-shot autoloader.
This is one of the only tanks I've paid for. I really enjoy it. Got the Char Futur 4 shortly after buying this one. They are my 2 favorite tanks to play these days.
I'm quite an average player and of all tanks I have I three-marked only Char and this Udes. And I wasn't even sweating with this one. Awesome tank for my game style!
I love the tank too, i used the exact same build from start, but lately switched cvs for exp.turbo, i feel it really lacks on speed in alot of situations where you simply can't get to or escape from enemies

Most of you reasoning was on point, but to be fair with you, I think we should have more of those Grand Battle maps as I personally don't ever mind fighting against equal Tiers let alone you will usually get bonds too from all full Tier 10 matches... if you play desently well. The other thing is that when we have had all these field modifications and also special equimpments, maps are starting to feel too small. And oh Boy oh boy if other team has good light tank players and the other doesn't...

T-34-85s should totally be able to meet BZ-176s. SU-100s should totally be able to meet Turtles, TS-5s or ISU-152Ks in a match. Or maybe a T-44 or a M-III-Y should be able to meet Badgers, T110E3s or IS-7s. Or maybe 59-16s and AMX 12t's should really be able to meet ELC EVENs or LHMTVs with CVS. +2/-2 really does add variety to the game and is totally not one the reasons why droves of people have left the game.
Totally agree. Tier VI against most all tier VII's is completely useless. No pen and easy kills for the tier 8 player. MM need to be 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10. It's the ONLY way people can compete in most occasions.Maybe make 7-8-9, but s 7 against a 9 still falls under the useless category for anything except a scout or Arty.

A lot of you guys are missing the point. I disagree with it on the basis that probably 95% of peopel hate +-2 mm. but his argument is that t9 has more variety. You will almost never get a t9 only game like you see a lot in t8 and t10. So as a t9 tank, you will see some matches as top tier and some as bottom in pretty even amounts. This makes it so you have to adjust your play. Your t9 tank is op as top tier, its underpowered as bottom. You have to adjust or do poorly. T8 is also the most played tier so its probably boring for him to replay all the same tanks. T9 is getting some new prems and reward tanks which is new interesting. again, he is bonkers for thinking this... no one likes +-2 lol but his point about variety is somewhta valid
While your preference for playing Tier 9 is valid, that's just, like, your opinion man....... +/- 2 MM is atrocious for any tier below 9 and 10. Playing a tier 6 tank and ending up in a tier 8 battle with tanks like the Bourrasque, Even 90, and the especially BZ-176, there's not much you can do to try and influence that battle no matter how sweaty you are. The Bourrasque and Even 90 alone will make almost all tier 6 and 7 medium and light tanks on the opposing team useless, and pretty much ANY Tier 6 tank and a lot of Tier 7's will be a one shot for a BZ-176 with a penetrating gold round. Personally, I think WG should trial an in-game setting where players can choose between +/- 2 and +/- 1, I think a 6-month trial of this would make it quite clear where the majority of the player base's thought are regarding the MM (provided they advertise it and not just stealth the trial in).
Most problem why I hate tier 9 and 10: too many rush up to this tier, don't know what to do and I need as average player change the game for my team, but I can't.
That take on the lack of variaty in tier-10 matchmaking makes sence for very experienced player that have more than 10k battles. In fact I think the tank pool is smaller as you progress in the tiers (highest beeing in tier 8 I think). However in the scope of a not that experienced players that have less than 10k battles, playing tier 10 makes you learn the maps and cynergies between vehicules more easily as the tank pool is not that vast. However isn't tier-10 supposed to be the "end-game" where all experienced player play ? It's kinda counter-intuitive. Because it's in the tier-10 that I've learned the most about the game ! In fact I'm only playing in standard battle because the whole dynamic of map is changing whether you play encounter or assault !
I prefer Skoda T50 to char futur, its gun is better.. but not premium. For premium I prefer the Lion... that one is the best tank of game, totally op... or just hits exactly my play style
Tier 8 only MM or heaven forbid tier 8 with 7 and 6 would be a dream on what was the ANZ server. If you were in a tier 8, 90% of the time you were bottom tier. +/-1 is my ideal.
It’s a support tank so you have to play defensive and evasive and not get auto loader syndrome and stand out in the open taking rounds to the face because you think your invincible with multiple rounds 😅😅😅
Always hear people complain about +2/-2 tier MM... Game or not it is happen in life to that the reality... Example you like soccer or football very much but you not that good player in your team is it legit to ask the other team to be same power as your? It's not because it's a premium vehicle. Once your tank is elite (That everything is researched) then you can use the xp for field mods. That button is to the right of the researched button! :)
Did not get it. I kind of wish it was more like the tier 10 with bit more armor and heavy hitting single shot gun. I will rather play burrasque or gsor1008 if i want to sneak around and clip tanks.

A plus 1 tier difference would make for a far more equitable game experience.
"+ 2 -2 is so darn good for the game" -- When low tier in a minus 2 match, you are just hoping the top tier players can pull it through as you try and avoid enemy high tiers. Minus two matches encourage camping and split powers. I hate watching a =/-2 where two low tier heavies head to the med play areas and only half the heavy power goes to where they need to be. And of course top tier meds and TDs never seem to notice this and rarely go to support the now "weaker" high tier heavies.

Having watched only 2mins and I already know why some people like a tank like this, because of their ability to basically cheat, the same way as the Bourrasque has been compromising the MM since its release. HOW? This tank is a MT. It doesn't get matched up against LTs. It can use CVS. It has ridiculous camo for a MT. This allows it to play as a LT while retaining most of a MT's firepower. Just ridiculous. There's nothing worse for the MM than a LT that does not get matched up against other LTs and also has good firepower. It is one of the reasons why I've been saying that the current 7-y/o MM is fcking outdated. The only thing keeps these tanks from breaking the game entirely is their high game-knowledge requirement. You must be good at the game to be able to abuse these abominations effectively. We haven't yet reached the point where the game becomes unplayable because of MM compromising, but we're on the way there with the recently buffed BC 25t.
Still waiting on the day we actually get a usable, no-gimmick prem tier 9 medium. Like seriously just give us a premium version of the M46 Patton or the CS-59 or Cent Or Leo or something

Tier 8 is OK. Tier ten is a meat grinder. The games are over in 5 mins. They should fix MM by adding tier 11 and 12. And then start the lines at Tier 5

thats why i pretty much only play high tier these days. Tier 7 is the lowest i go, no issues

This makes it so you have to adjust your play. Your t9 tank is op as top tier, its underpowered as bottom. You have to adjust or do poorly. T8 is also the most played tier so its probably boring for him to replay all the same tanks. T9 is getting some new prems and reward tanks which is new interesting. again, he is bonkers for thinking this... no one likes +-2 lol but his point about variety is somewhta valid

+/- 2 MM is atrocious for any tier below 9 and 10.
Playing a tier 6 tank and ending up in a tier 8 battle with tanks like the Bourrasque, Even 90, and the especially BZ-176, there's not much you can do to try and influence that battle no matter how sweaty you are.
The Bourrasque and Even 90 alone will make almost all tier 6 and 7 medium and light tanks on the opposing team useless, and pretty much ANY Tier 6 tank and a lot of Tier 7's will be a one shot for a BZ-176 with a penetrating gold round.
Personally, I think WG should trial an in-game setting where players can choose between +/- 2 and +/- 1, I think a 6-month trial of this would make it quite clear where the majority of the player base's thought are regarding the MM (provided they advertise it and not just stealth the trial in).
Most problem why I hate tier 9 and 10: too many rush up to this tier, don't know what to do and I need as average player change the game for my team, but I can't.
I can't remember the last time i was in a T8 grand battle....must be at least 2 years if not more
That take on the lack of variaty in tier-10 matchmaking makes sence for very experienced player that have more than 10k battles. In fact I think the tank pool is smaller as you progress in the tiers (highest beeing in tier 8 I think).
However in the scope of a not that experienced players that have less than 10k battles, playing tier 10 makes you learn the maps and cynergies between vehicules more easily as the tank pool is not that vast.
However isn't tier-10 supposed to be the "end-game" where all experienced player play ? It's kinda counter-intuitive. Because it's in the tier-10 that I've learned the most about the game ! In fact I'm only playing in standard battle because the whole dynamic of map is changing whether you play encounter or assault !

I prefer Skoda T50 to char futur, its gun is better.. but not premium. For premium I prefer the Lion... that one is the best tank of game, totally op... or just hits exactly my play style

Obj. 752 is great imo. Tuff to play right but then again MM and RNG makes battles "fair" for everyone.
Just grab 2 toon mates and spam gold. Becomes very easy to play with 3 of them together. Might get some hate mail for it though.

Tier 8 only MM or heaven forbid tier 8 with 7 and 6 would be a dream on what was the ANZ server. If you were in a tier 8, 90% of the time you were bottom tier. +/-1 is my ideal.

It’s super cool isn’t it, it looks like a lot of modern vehicles like the new American light tank.
Sometimes tier X can be tough and there is some premium vehicles in tier 8 and 9 that are the coolest in the game as well 😅

It’s a support tank so you have to play defensive and evasive and not get auto loader syndrome and stand out in the open taking rounds to the face because you think your invincible with multiple rounds 😅😅😅
Even the CS-63 is apparently a support style tank it’s classified as a sniper which is a defensive fire support style.

It's not because it's a premium vehicle. Once your tank is elite (That everything is researched) then you can use the xp for field mods. That button is to the right of the researched button! :)

Have You wonder how a new non premium player feels in a full upgraded tier 4 Stug getting one s shoted by a Kv 2 ? How many more examples. A plus 1 tier difference would make for a far more equitable game experience.

"+ 2 -2 is so darn good for the game" -- When low tier in a minus 2 match, you are just hoping the top tier players can pull it through as you try and avoid enemy high tiers. Minus two matches encourage camping and split powers. I hate watching a =/-2 where two low tier heavies head to the med play areas and only half the heavy power goes to where they need to be. And of course top tier meds and TDs never seem to notice this and rarely go to support the now "weaker" high tier heavies.

Having watched only 2mins and I already know why some people like a tank like this, because of their ability to basically cheat, the same way as the Bourrasque has been compromising the MM since its release.
HOW?
This tank is a MT. It doesn't get matched up against LTs.
It can use CVS.
It has ridiculous camo for a MT.
This allows it to play as a LT while retaining most of a MT's firepower. Just ridiculous.
There's nothing worse for the MM than a LT that does not get matched up against other LTs and also has good firepower.
It is one of the reasons why I've been saying that the current 7-y/o MM is fcking outdated.
The only thing keeps these tanks from breaking the game entirely is their high game-knowledge requirement.
You must be good at the game to be able to abuse these abominations effectively.
We haven't yet reached the point where the game becomes unplayable because of MM compromising, but we're on the way there with the recently buffed BC 25t.

Havent played in years. Looks and smells like regular power creep. A shame that the premium tanks are better than regular tanks that you work so hard for. I liked it back when they were pretty equal.

Tier 8 is OK. Tier ten is a meat grinder. The games are over in 5 mins. They should fix MM by adding tier 11 and 12. And then start the lines at Tier 5
