Of course I like your projects. I love the following about your videos: 1. No music. 2. You talk to us about the project and don't try to entertain us. 3. You have the measurements written on sticky notes. 4. You are not silly or laugh and giggle constantly. 5. In other words, YOU TEACH!!!!! I greatly appreciate all of the above. Thank you for your clarity and professionalism. Barbara in Dallas
100% i dig the same things. I have fun crafters I watch for inspiration. But for tutorials? My ADHD can't handle all the extra stuff. I just need a mentor helping me see how the written instructions turn into the physical item.
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with a ribbon organization idea that didn't cost alot of money and this is PERFECT! Thank you so very much for sharing this idea with all of us and for your time. I for one appreciate it 🙂
I LoVe this! I hit on this, this evening, while looking for ribbon storage ideas. I am going to try this out and see how it goes. I have a metal ruler but I can't cut straight to save my life so we'll see how it goes. LOL I'll come back & let you know! This is tomorrow's project!
A new sharp blade is more important, also when you make your cut don't try to make it in one stroke (new sharp blade will but...) make it in 3, once for the top paper, once for the foam then 3rd through the bottom paper layer this will give you a nice clean cut.
I am super stoked to try this out. I LOVE the personal touch you put on the shelf. My craft closet has a peg board as the back wall and I cannot wait to hang my shelf there. EEEEk!!! I see an organized craft closet in my near future!!!!!! THANK YOU!
Thank you for making this video. ❤ I need to make a couple of these soon so that I can store all of my ribbon. I currently have a ribbon cabinet that I've "outgrown". 😆 This makes it so easy to see all of your ribbon.
I know I’m watching this two years after you made the video but this is awesome! I hate how I am so an organized with mine. It’s so hard to craft when you don’t know what you have and this is so cheap and effective. I can’t wait to make this!
No problem, we are a military family and it was even packed away and survived a move. Currently it’s hanging on my wall in a totally different home in another state. I may of added some glue to the side of shelf or two but after it was good as new. As far as the structure adding that duck tape ensures it’s gonna hold up nicely as I’ve had no issues. Still impressed, thanks for asking and watching my video 😉
@@KurlyGirlKraftz Well thank you for everything you do being a military family. I also come from a military family ❤️ For getting back to me. I plan on making it within the next few days I’ll have to let you know how it turns out! Thank you again so much. Enjoy your holiday!
Oh ma’am, thank you so much! I currently have my ribbons on a wooden dowel suspended by string on my shelving unit 😭. I needed this for my treat ribbons ❤️
This is great and I love your speaking voice...so soothing and calming that I didn't want to do anything but relax after I watched the tutorial, LOL. Seriously, though, thanks for this...you did a nice job!
So glad, for once, my grandbaby got a hold of my phone!! I have been looking for months for a way to organize my ribbon, but be able to see what I have at a glance! Brilliant! Subbed & Liked!!
Glad this popped up while I was searching for something to buy. I make jewlery and I'm getting frustrated with trying to see all my cord and wire. But don't want them on a pole type thing you know? This is brilliant and seeing you put it together and then give it some personality really helped. I hadnt thought about using foam core, but thats a great way to give it some more sturdiness! Might have to adjust my set up because the wire is kinda heavy, so I would only store it on bottom row... but shifting it length wise might be the key. Then cords on second row, ribbon above, and maybe even I could stick skewers through top and have washi separated by color. *wanders off customizing to fit needs* Ty!
Wonderful tutorial. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Just hung mine and love it. Not the straightest cutter in town but hopefully I won't end up with duplicate rolls since I can see my inventory.
This is great and you did a great job explaining directions. The instructions referenced at paper pastime is no longer there. Are you able to provide instructions? Thank you for this tutorial.
This is so cool, I love it, great job...A new sharp blade is more important, also when you make your cut don't try to make it in one stroke (new sharp blade will but...) make it in 3, once for the top paper, once for the foam then 3rd through the bottom paper layer this will give you a nice clean cut.
@@KurlyGirlKraftz Love your economical idea vs the store purchased or complicated pdf directions. I can afford this and love the directions with size and how to demonstration. I'm new to crafting and ribbon prices and putting them in a box is defeating my energy. I'm now subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for the idea and the tutorial. I am in the process of working on my ribbon wall (wish i could post a pic) by using this method. And i do mean WALL...like an entire wall of the room ... I tweaked the sizes a bit to fit where i needed them to be and for what i have. Foam core is suprisingly strong and i am using the stronger command strips on the backs to hold them up (each full size sheet of foam coar gets 4 of the strips --can hold 16 lbs --better safe than sorry) . It is working great for the rolls ...now i have to get the precut pieces organized and put up . ....i make mums and like to have them done so i can put one together in a flash. Right now it's clothespins and a hanger but want to figure out something better....any ideas anyone?
I wonder if I could use my paparazzi boxes? This a good idea for my cuff bracelet. Also I’m so messy with a hot glue gun. I don’t know how people use it and it’s not everywhere
I made one of these and it works wonderfully! Here's my issue now though: Has anyone made one to store the rolls of Deco mesh ribbon? I'm going crazy with rolls everywhere lol.
You cut the board with a knife and said you ended up with jagged edges. But with the quilt mat right there, couldn’t you just have used a rotary cutter? Very clever idea.
TAYLOR GANG I wouldn’t recommend it. Ribbon is pretty light. I imagine nail polish bottles could get heavy and result in quite a mess sliding off the shelves. Thanks for watching 😉

Thanks so much for watching!
Love it. Thank you👍‼️
TFS. What did u use to hang it up?
I love this ❤
Can u please explain when u say 20x24 , how many inches ? Or how do I separate that up and measure it out
Yes that is inches. 20 inches by 24 inches. Thank you for watching
I made one of these and it works wonderfully! Here's my issue now though: Has anyone made one to store the rolls of Deco mesh ribbon? I'm going crazy with rolls everywhere lol.
It should work basically the same way , just adjust the dimensions to fit what you need
Very creative
You cut the board with a knife and said you ended up with jagged edges. But with the quilt mat right there, couldn’t you just have used a rotary cutter? Very clever idea.
How sturdy are the shelves and any suggestions on reinforcing them? I have large rolls of ribbon from Michaels and Walmart I need to make this for.
i feel the shelves are very sturdy. the decorative duck tape reinforces it very well.
Oh Heck Yeah! Thanks!!!
Awesome!!!!
Do u think its strong enough to hold nail polish
TAYLOR GANG I wouldn’t recommend it. Ribbon is pretty light. I imagine nail polish bottles could get heavy and result in quite a mess sliding off the shelves. Thanks for watching 😉
Heyyy Kurly Girl; Love the way you Blinged this shelf up! How do you have it attached to the wall?
How do you mount this to a wall?
Just wondering how did it hold up?
bay be great. Watch my new craft room video to see it even survived a military move. 🤣
Awesome
LOVE IT.
I was just looking for instructions on how to do this I was thinking about using wood but I like the idea of using phone better it's more lightweight
Thank you
Nice 👍🏼
