The side pocket is the umbrella pocket, and they have an add-on to make it a waterbottle pocket that doesn’t take away from the inside space. They make “Gear Packs” for this reason. They’re a little spendy, but getting a few different colors helps distinguish between the items inside for easy grabbing.
