I had made an intership at parrot and I can swear you its trully a wonderfull drone there is a all team hardly working on that drone and I think the are doing a really great job and they keep improving it every month by update
Apart from the 4g, this drone is a joke. $4,000? They’ll never get a chunk of the market without RTK, a global shutter, and a decent zoom.
So no RTK? Still have to set several GCP instead of a few check points?
The motherboard on my Anafi Ai literally died in mid-flight resulting in a complete loss of control. The battery eventually died, and the drone crashed. It was recovered and sent to a repair facility. The facility confirmed the motherboard failure. Parrot's administrative policy does not allow a motherboard replacement according to the repair facility. They were very quick to sell me a new drone! Good thing I had hull insurance otherwise there would have been a substantive financial loss. I reluctantly bought a second Anafi Ai only because I had neither the time nor the patience to research a new drone and go through a learning curve.

How exactly is this thing better than a cheaper M2P for mapping? What are we paying for? The software side of things? No RTK either.
To be clear, this was all us. No sponsorship whatsoever from Parrot.

@@ZED-PV basically, ip53 rated. It means that you can fly it in the middle of the rain, and that it can survive quite a bit of sand or dust. But other then flying in a small sandstorm and some rain it doesnt have much else. However there really isnt any other drones that can fly in rain and sand, except for a few drones that specifically were designed for dealing with water, that either cannot fly or fly for less then 5 minutes. So there isnt any reasonable way to compare these drones, however to all intents and purposes this drone is ovepriced for normal usage.
LOL. I don't know how you can compare this to the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual Advanced. This doesn't have any of the "enterprise" features of the DJI. No RTK or IR. My experience with Parrot has been less than exceptional. I don't know how they can be competitive with the $4k price. Does it have Remote ID? That said, 4G is a nice feature, as is non-Chinese OEM.
It has remote ID that the user can turn on and off.
I explored it online and saw a couple of real bad reviews. Runs about 4K price. Waiting for more reviews. The 3D and range is amazing.
Parrot products are unreliable.
I think the last drone that was reliable from them was the AR 2 😂😂😅

@@ZED-PV We all have signal loss and telemetry lags. What if they found a niche to marry cellular data transmission? That would mean limitless communication right?
So for mapping, the 48mp compensates for it having a 1/2“ CMOS sensor?
How much better compared to the 1" CMOS/20MP of the Mavic 2 Pro/ Air 2S?
Processing on Desktop, your processing time is slower than a phantom for example, due to the LRS shutter correction. You would have the same shutter correction for the Air 2s or M2P. Due to the methodology that pixels are captured, paired with the changes in photogrammetric algorithms, it is picking up more points. Albiet, we are finding it is more susceptible to reflection. We had some holes in our barn map, right in the center of the barn, with the Anafi.

For mapping??? Drone has no RTK, no mechanical shutter, no zoom camera, no external attachments, and ugly (albeit my opinion). I’ll stick with my M3E.
It's not a true 48mp camera, it uses a quad bayer filter to fake 48mp. Just like the DJI Mini 3 Pro.
Well now we have some actual competition with the Mavic 3 Enterprise.
Is the Anafi AI global shutter? Not sure why they keep putting rolling shutters into mapping drones.

I wish the M3ET had a global shutter. Only the M3E has a global shutter good for mapping. Thinking of switching out my P4P fleet for them.

AnafiAI is a good drone,it is the parrot support that sucks,it is nonexistent,be it that you have regular question or drone is damaged and you want to find more about warranty,nobody is answering phone calls or emails when call……my advice , if you get AnafiAI,dont update,just fly as it is,parrot updates tend to kill the drone….
The updates so far to the Anafi AI have been very useful up until now, lots of improvements to an already very good and unique drone.

Hey Paul, any updates or insights on this platform?
WE recently did another test of this drone against other mapping drones. It was really difficult to get the drones to fly the same altitude to compare results. If someone cannot fly DJI and they need to do INSPECTIONS, not mapping. its amazing.
probably get paid a lot to do this video ! the only reason I want to buy it ? because it is IP53 rating, which mean I can fly under the rain (which is happening a lot where I live ) and you don't even mention that !! Also the camera being on front and not under is not ideal for photos under the rain as you will see the raindrop !

You know.. flying by WiFi sounds rather risky. Turning the drone into a phone is a step backwards regarding safety issues. I don't know how it is in other countries in the world, but in germany it can happen that your phone has no connection to the cellular in rural areas.
My first impression: It's giving... a buggy feeling, from design to technology, its giving... no RTK accuracy and its giving... EDGE connection. Wow.

Yeah LTE is what you'll have to use for BVLOS/ Proposed part 108. Tier 1 connectivity (like military and 1st responder cells) provide connection with no more than .5 sec latency 👍🎉

@@matt84712 I have an ANAfI AI - Yes, there can be a bit of lag, depending on your cell network, nothing horrible (of course depends on the 4G LTE coverage in the area of operation).
The 4G LTE mode is awesome, nothing compares to it, the limit really is the battery.
Another really cool mode is that one can operate the ANAFI AI outside, with the operator inside a building - connect the control device (iPad) to the internal WiFi, the ANAFI AI in 4G Mode will connect through 4G to your WiFi LAN. On a windy day ~8KM round trip was achieved successfully.
Also, the 'precision landing' mode uses visual confirmation of the take off point and lands within centimeters of where it took off from.

Who do you think DJI copied the Mini3 design from...
It may be really interesting if you want to 3d-map the same place from your office using bvlos and lte regularly to check for any evolution (carrieres or construction site). But I want real comparaisons. With real sets of data from dji and anafi on the same projects. Then will decide.

Anafi Ai was out way before the Mini3.
It also has way more features than the mini 3.
@@HansHaraldBerge There is absolutely no comparison between the Anafi Ai and DJI mini 3 -Anafi Ai is far superior in everything, besides that they both fly and have cameras. Of course, the Anafi Ai costs more, too, but that's probably because Parrot isn't subsidized by the CCP/PLA and doesn't collect data and telemetry like DJI.
A toy that cost around $24K is too much money for my WIC 2023 budget can afford...

This video must be old because the Mavic 3 Enterprise is superior to thus in just about every way. Pretty much the only thing it has is 4g connectivity.
Parrot bout to beat dji ass from here on. Dude talking bout the AR lol.. he skipped the bebop, bebop2, anafi, anafi thermal, anafi usa, the blue grass, and the disco..I mean they didn't go from the AR to the anafi ai lol..without parrot dji would have the drones they have. Parrot was the first to make obstacles avoidance..they was one of the first to make a drones too..

Expensive drones and no customer service (in my country and in many parts of the world)....is a big NOPE for me...this is just advertising...
The drone is great (I have one) - I can't answer about customer service from Parrot because they are unresponsive, the company that I got it from is fine, though.
LMAO... I stopped at 0:58 I paid $1,500 for a new Phantom 4 Pro! Not $2,000 and the new Mavic3 that just came out.... I paid $3,200 for it - Not 10X! And - it is FAR SUPERIOR to the Phantom 4 Pro (which was superior, itself at the time of release). It's difficult to keep watching when within the first minute - ypou're facts are NOT CORRECT! Later!
