I used to go to the transparenci group that met in Carlow (which has moved to Waterford I think?) with my mum, we're now planning on going to the dublin transparenci group since it'll be more convenient. Of the other support groups on their site, I've been to individuality which is the group for trans people between the ages of 14-23, it's a great group! the only group I intend to go to but havent gone to yet is the trans peer support group as it's over 18s, but I've heard good things about it.
jayistransandboring I've heard good things about the 14-23 group but I didn't know there was an over 18 one! I'd say it would be good to move between the both to meet people of all ages I thought you were over 18 from your videos haha
Lol no I just turned 17, I've heard it can be awkward staring in the 18+ group when you've only recently turned 18, since a lot of the people there are 20s, 30s, and older, but they're all lovely and the woman who runs it is lovely!

hi emmet!! it's definitely worth getting in contact with trans people in your area, or trans organisations, to see if they know anyone who will let you go on T. If you're in ireland then you definitely can get on T but if you're outside dublin it will be harder, however in other countries I dont know as much. I know that canada and the US have hormones for under18s, I know that in the uk it can be done but it's very hard, and I know germany do it too
Happy birthday! Are you sure your doc did not start you on lower doses of T because of your age? Many of the underage people I see go on HRT start with lower dosages.
