  • Isis' Plan B Live Stream 9.13.24 8:10 PM
Isis, our seven-year-old Basin emerald tree boa, has now reached day 192 of her pregnancy.
    • 9.9.24 On day 188, she completed a full shed around 2 PM, and
    • 9.10.24 on day 189 around 9 AM CST, she released her pre-birthing plug, and
    • 9.11.24 on day 191 at 2:20 AM her water broke.
Since day 182, we’ve been live-streaming her journey 24/7 on RUclips @Happy Basins, where she’ll remain until nature takes its course.
On day 190, Isis had an ultrasound that was broadcast LIVE on our RUclips feed, and we’re thrilled to share that we saw her babies moving around inside her! You can scroll through the full two-hour video (link in the comments) to catch all the exciting moments. Isis is such a sweetheart. I’ve been gently massaging her belly twice a day for the last three days, and she loves it. When it was time for her ultrasound tonight, she was calm and ready, sitting perfectly still, enjoying her belly rub.
A typical pregnancy for a Basin emerald tree boa lasts between 130 and 180 days, and it's uncommon for them to shed during pregnancy. While Isis isn’t following the usual timeline, there are reports of healthy litters born to emeralds that took this long or shed during pregnancy. We have no concerns about Isis, as her behavior, demeanor, and movements have been completely normal. She looks and acts healthy, and we’re eagerly awaiting to see what nature has in store for us!
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been checking in on Isis, especially those who have been obsessing over her along with me. Suran, LetterLadyZ, and Tarras SnakeTreasures have been with me almost every minute! Thank you! Together, we’ve become *Isis’ Village*.
We’re all on the edge of our seats as Isis, our seven-year-old Basin emerald tree boa, is ready to give birth to her first litter any day now. We’re hoping today, like we do everyday!
Your love and support for Isis throughout her journey-from ovulation seven months ago to now-have made this experience truly special. Since many of you have been following along, I’ve set up a live stream of Isis on RUclips so you can check in anytime. The stream runs for 12 hours at a time, and I’ll be refreshing it regularly. Just visit the HappyBasins RUclips page, and the latest LIVE feed will be front and center.
Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey with us. We’ll keep watching and sharing updates as they come. Stay tuned!
