Another great episode. Good old Smallville days when the mood was light, there was laughing, fun and a happy ending.... back when he lived in Smallville. :)
the older seasons of smallville seem to be more focused on what it wanted to be after season 5 they were like "well fuck this lets just add in a million sub plots and fuck the continuity up", 5 and under are great to me, its how a normal clark kent would probably fit in
The Sun was going through some solar storms from the sun spots. Because of that it was throwing Clark's powers out of whack. One minute he'd have powers, the next minute they'd be gone. Sometimes they'd kick in when he wasn't trying to use them and it would overload. There's one part in the episode where his super speed glitches and he ends up running a few hundred miles away. Then he ends up having to get a bus ride back home because he can't get his speed to get him back home.
run after it clark! and catch it!...dont just look at it..lol haha cool episode... AA: why and how did you quit drinking, perry??? Perry: well, when i was in smallville, I saw a tractor fall from the sky! so i had too quit!!
So Clark doesn't see the guy standing on the side of the road? Or does and just doesn't give a damn about what he thinks he saw? Obviously, if you can run so damn fast you need the reflexes and processing capacity to match...
i want you to imagine jogging down the road, are you saying you would not see the guy standing next to the tractor you dropped when you are so against letting anyone know what you are?
Yea, except of course this is the same guy who casually catches bullets between his fingers and even when caught off guard can see other speedsters who are faster than him. As we've seen numerous times before he sees everything as if it was moving in slow mo, which is why he walks into a room and has time to assess everything going on while bullets and energy weapons and bolts of electricity are slowly moving around. It always bothers me that he drops out of slow-mo without looking around first.. or that he ever stops dead anywhere.. as if the act of not running anymore has slowed everything down.. If this were the case he wouldn't ever be able to catch a bullet or have time to react to anything that he does..
Your'e thinking of the DCMU Man of Steel and his father, Jonathon (maybe you should have let a bunch of school children drown to protect your secret) Kent.
@Thegodfather8588 not exactly^^ during this episode (3x05) there is a solar flare. since clark's powers are influenced by the sun his powers are rather erratic during the flare, which means that they are gone at one moment and hightened at the next... of course this leads to a higher risk of exposure for clark...
There's nothing to "disagree" with. Just a few seconds before he sent that tractor flying, he couldn't lift it at all. He didn't know what the state of his powers were going to be from moment to moment. If he had tried to catch that tractor, he very seriously risked being crushed to death.
I wish this series could be remade, story line mostly the same, but just with a higher budget, better special effects and slightly less emphasis on the romance. It would be a huge improvement.
Oh c’mon the special effects (for the most part) in this show were fantastic for their time and budget. Some of the Arrowverse shows on now have a much higher budget than these guys ever did and their power effects look awful in direct comparison with Smallville.
I didnt mind the romance, Lana was a big part of his life before becoming Superman. The romance made the story feel real and helped us to connect to Clark on a deeper emotional level. His romance with Lois though, they could have just canned that completely.
I think on both sides of this incident, would be the word would be "shit" with a different adjective. "Aw" on Jonathan and Clark's side, and "Holy" on Perry's as he's pouring out his flask. And an additional "What the hell?" on Perry's side when Clark zooms in out of nowhere.
A solar flare was causing his powers to fluctuate so there were times when they didn't work at all. Normally he would have spotted him early enough to keep from being seen, but he was not in top form that day.
It might have helped if he had ran just a bit quicker -- y'know, stop it from crashing and breaking into pieces. xD But gah, when you're a golden sun-charged Kryptonian, solar flares must be very, very irritating.
In this episode of Smallville, we get to understand better the source of Clark's powers (The Yellow Sun). Sunspots that caused solar storms apparently caused some irregularities with his powers. I doubt that a solar storm would stop his powers at any point but that's how they put the episode together.
Because Superman Powers come from the sun, and the sun was messed upp or something idk. I Think a meteor hit the sun and changed something with the sun.
If Clark couldn't lift the tractor, why didn't Jonathan ask Clark if he's infected with a sliver of kryptonite? On the other hand, maybe I just need to watch the episode
Is it just me,or is there something here to do with maybe Clark partaking in that old saying, "if you do it too much you'll go blind", perhaps he"drained" his energy, and because he is a "Super Stud", it only took him a minute to rejuvenate his strength. And damn if he didn't just almost kill Lenny from Laverne and Shirely,it could have been a,"those basterds ,they killed Lenny," moment. Anyways Clark ,was looking extra hot in these scenes, especially right at the end,or the"orgasm" of this clip. I'm just sayen. Go man of steel!!! 👌😏👍🏃~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what happens when a bus, train, car, hits me.. Well I mean... It doesn't get the chance TO hit me. My reflexes have it several miles away before it gets the chance. Then, of course, I have to fly after the damn thing BEFORE it smashes back into the Terra-Forma *le sigh*
Another great episode. Good old Smallville days when the mood was light, there was laughing, fun and a happy ending.... back when he lived in Smallville. :)
"Son, you're grounded."
"YOU KNOW I'M SENSITIVE ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO FLY *superspeeds away crying"
I hate it when this happens to me.
Tractors Fly, Clark Can't🦸♂
the older seasons of smallville seem to be more focused on what it wanted to be after season 5 they were like "well fuck this lets just add in a million sub plots and fuck the continuity up", 5 and under are great to me, its how a normal clark kent would probably fit in
+GhostCode RG that's because at season 5 they let tom welling act and take over as director also.
The Sun was going through some solar storms from the sun spots. Because of that it was throwing Clark's powers out of whack.

I think he even ended up in California and had to come back in bus because his super speed stopped working
Smallville Classic as we call these first few years.
He probably wished he had another flask to empty out.
I cannot throw a pebble that far. AWESOME!!!!
Honestly, I just pissed myself laughing. in the middle of the night. BEST scene ever!
This Scene is downright hilarious
Perry's reaction with the canteen sells this scene completely. He's on the brink of giving up, and then this happens in front of him.
I like this scene ❤❤❤
run after it clark! and catch it!...dont just look at it..lol haha cool episode...
AA: why and how did you quit drinking, perry???
Perry: well, when i was in smallville, I saw a tractor fall from the sky! so i had too quit!!
Hey! It's like in the Aristocats when the French man pours out his wine!
classic scene, love it
So Clark doesn't see the guy standing on the side of the road? Or does and just doesn't give a damn about what he thinks he saw? Obviously, if you can run so damn fast you need the reflexes and processing capacity to match...
He's too focused on what just happened, and feels guilty about what he just did.
i want you to imagine jogging down the road, are you saying you would not see the guy standing next to the tractor you dropped when you are so against letting anyone know what you are?

In this episode clark has his ability issue because of the sun.He has no control over his powers in this episode.
@@jaysonsk remember his powers were wonky this episode I think he was distracted too
Best father and son relationship.... ;-)
this was so funny! He sent that tractor flying through the air! ;-)
why didnt he just run after it and catch it before it hit the ground? It's not like they have a lot of money for new equipment.
yes I did, i mean he didnt even try...sure his powers were fritzing but he never TRIED
Even if he had, something falling with that much weight and speed from the height would have still broken apart the moment he caught it.
Nope, superman has the power to defy physics
simple could just ask lex for help on getting a new tractor
Wasn't this the episode when Clark and Lionel Luthor swap bodies via a magical gem in this scene Lionel is in Clark's body
Yes it was the first time Perry White made an apperance in smallville..
its raining tractors
AriochGS - At least it's not raining men. Lol!
The Cowboy hallelujah!
The Kents loose more tractors that way
and hailing taxis
AriochGS hallelujah
Later, Clark and his father killed this guy and buried him in the field ;D
Your'e thinking of the DCMU Man of Steel and his father, Jonathon (maybe you should have let a bunch of school children drown to protect your secret) Kent.
Zohar F Yeah, Cosner's JK was cold blooded.
@Thegodfather8588 not exactly^^ during this episode (3x05) there is a solar flare. since clark's powers are influenced by the sun his powers are rather erratic during the flare, which means that they are gone at one moment and hightened at the next... of course this leads to a higher risk of exposure for clark...
you are right. but when hes reached full potential he has been stated to fly at 8x the speed of light in the comics
Smallville had it ups and downs but pop Kent is the best father ever
Up in the sky its a bird, no its a plane, no its a tractor!
This is from the episode entitled "Perry".
yeah, I remember this episode
i like how they are both looking at it like "duhhhh what just happened. "
Bello mi Thomas este capítulo me hace reír.
Clark you could have caught that fucking tractor.
There's nothing to "disagree" with. Just a few seconds before he sent that tractor flying, he couldn't lift it at all. He didn't know what the state of his powers were going to be from moment to moment. If he had tried to catch that tractor, he very seriously risked being crushed to death.
I watched the full ten seasons, this is my favorite scene of the entire series
I remember this because we were experiencing solar flares the day this episode was aired.
It's not raining cats and dogs, it's raining tractor:P
@Montzibankering the episode i believe is called Perry. not sure of the season...
Clark can move close to the speed of light- he definitely could have caught that!
I wish this series could be remade, story line mostly the same, but just with a higher budget, better special effects and slightly less emphasis on the romance. It would be a huge improvement.
Yes, but it is a melodrama at base.
5 seasons, half episodes per season and less monster of the week
Oh c’mon the special effects (for the most part) in this show were fantastic for their time and budget. Some of the Arrowverse shows on now have a much higher budget than these guys ever did and their power effects look awful in direct comparison with Smallville.
I didnt mind the romance, Lana was a big part of his life before becoming Superman. The romance made the story feel real and helped us to connect to Clark on a deeper emotional level. His romance with Lois though, they could have just canned that completely.
the romance is literally the main part of Clark's life and why he fights.
its the lawyer from better call saul finally taking a walk outside.
TheDupeMaster Yeah!, He's Chuck
Nope, that's a different guy.
The real reason he *stopped* going outside
Clark Kent's Mullet hair cut.... Keep your head up! Ya hockey puck! lol
Yeah this one always makes me laugh. :D
And the weather report for Smallville is: Some sunspots and it might rain tractors in the afternoon.
stop drinking perry i stop drinking when tracors fall out of the sky
damn clark, haha. don't remember much from early on in the series, more of a fan of the later seasons.
Always wondered what a show about Bruce Wayne before he became Batman would be like...
@Montzibankering its from season 3 episode 5 its called perry
Missed it by THAT much... (fingers an inch apart)
Only until Clark meets Batman/Bruce Wayne :)
Tractor: Whee!!! I AM SUPERMAN!!!! *crashes*
If I drank something and I saw amazing things such as that, I would keep drinking that stuff whatever it is.
Do this applies for semen too?You are one homo mf.
Cuz the sun gives him his powers and then when the sun had problems, clarks powers started to go and come back,
They're wearing sweaters in the hot sun working on the farm?
Tractor Pancake.. seen it, covered it..we know a thing or two, because we've seen a thing or two.. "We are Farmers.. bum bum bum da bum bum bum..."
Awww so CLOSE!
Pffff.. My beer can do that, hold me.
Was that perry white???? It looked like the actor
A solar flare was causing his powers to fluctuate so there were times when they didn't work at all. Normally he would have spotted him early enough to keep from being seen, but he was not in top form that day.
The Sun was having solar flares so his powers either were gone or put into overdrive.
Why were Clark's powers not working ???? Why couldn't he lift the tractor on the 1st try ?
It might have helped if he had ran just a bit quicker -- y'know, stop it from crashing and breaking into pieces. xD
But gah, when you're a golden sun-charged Kryptonian, solar flares must be very, very irritating.
What's the name of this episode?? and what season? =]
which episode and season of this one?
Perry White was really puzzled
Oh man Clark you're hosed, that's Chuck McGill from Better Call Saul!
Nah... it’s just Lenny from Laverne and Shirley...
What episode?
Chloe actually said something like that later in that episode.
XDDDD your comment made my day. Ty
Ok anybody know what episode this is???
Jesus Clark! Real tyro move.
In this episode of Smallville, we get to understand better the source of Clark's powers (The Yellow Sun). Sunspots that caused solar storms apparently caused some irregularities with his powers. I doubt that a solar storm would stop his powers at any point but that's how they put the episode together.
Um, I can explain...
+StanLee4Ever Say that dressed as a toddler, holding a lolipop and sitting on a tricycle!
Well see what had happened was...its actually a funny story....
Because Superman Powers come from the sun, and the sun was messed upp or something idk. I Think a meteor hit the sun and changed something with the sun.
now only it took falling tractors to stop people from drinking lmao
Cader os BR? Só eu assistindo em 2016?
nop
why didn't he run and catch it? friggin tractor cost a lot of money!
@lestat34208 thanks.. ^^
Clark could've caught it but took his time
Adn this is why the farm always have financial problems during the series.
If Clark couldn't lift the tractor, why didn't Jonathan ask Clark if he's infected with a sliver of kryptonite?
On the other hand, maybe I just need to watch the episode
why couldn't he lift it at first?
What season and episode is this?
Season 3 episode 5
does anyone ever wonder why his family was in massive debt anymore??
Johnathan!!!!!!
why couldn't he lift it?
yeah this comment is right haha. Mine is close enough.
I’m wondering what was really in the guy’s flask.
Or.. he should be wondering.
Is it just me,or is there something here to do with maybe Clark partaking in that old saying, "if you do it too much you'll go blind", perhaps he"drained" his energy, and because he is a "Super Stud", it only took him a minute to rejuvenate his strength. Go man of steel!!!
👌😏👍🏃~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His powers were messed up due to the sunspots
its chuck! ... tractor should have fell on him! .... oh wait wrong show!
why would he risk exposing his powers to that guy?
Meanwhile, Edward Cullen tore of a tree branch 5 ft to prove he was strong
if i remember right he calls the cops and nobody believes he because he was drinking.
0:12 poker face..
What season was this again?
Before season 4, Pete Ross is still apart of the show.
@@Eternaldarkness3166 Thanks I can tell clark looks really young here.
what episode is this
perry season 3 episode 5
torgeir HD thank you
This is what happens when a bus, train, car, hits me.. Well I mean... It doesn't get the chance TO hit me. My reflexes have it several miles away before it gets the chance. Then, of course, I have to fly after the damn thing BEFORE it smashes back into the Terra-Forma *le sigh*
you try to kill your future boss clark?
@Montzibankering Season 3; Perry
He's nowhere near that fast yet this was when he was a teenager and his powers were still developing
Stop drinking :D
