I've been FIGHTING to figure out my fiances 2015 soul squeaking. It only does it at idle. Barely touch the gas and it goes away. I replaced the belt, idler pulley and just now the alternator because me and the master mechanic at work though it was the alternator pulley but it's still doing it
@@zackzysek8303 I finally took ours in and it turns out that it was the alternator belt because the idiots at the Kia Dealership didn't bolt the alternator down completely and it was literally just loose. All they did was take it out and put it back in and actually tighten the mounting bolts and the noise disappeared completely. One of the mounting bolts was sticking out a good 4 inches.
That's not my issue. Ive done the belt and alternator, the alternator isn't loose, I made sure of that. After talking to my brother about it he sent me a video of a car making the same noise and it was the water pump.
Wish the video had an example of the actual squeaking sound so I could confirm it’s the same as mine…
