Security Officer from EU here. Most tips are quite correct. I want to say about tip 11 that it's so true. If you cooperate it's so much faster and easier for you and everyone (I know some officers are cranky, but just ignore it and do as they ask). Probably in the next 5-10 years rules will be pretty much the same everywhere. The tech is now at point that it's really accurate and reliable. Also metal detectors won't harm you or your baby if you're pregnant. But you always have the right to ask for pat down. Also people get confused about what counts as liquids. A really good guideline that we use is: is the good spreadable with a butter knife. If it is, it's a liquid. So e.g. butter is counted as a liquid. Anyway. Great video about airport security. Finally a video that got everything pretty correct and not spreading false information :)
Since you are a professional, may I ask you how can I avoid the situation, where my handbag is traveling away and I am one step behind? The person in front of you can just grab it go off until you are checked
@@AnaeKhalid unfotunately you really cannot help that. And the lines vary so much from checkpoint to antoher. Some is all automatic when others are manual. yes, also take pictures of all documentation on your phone, i've had my return airline ticket confiscated by the cbp and then accusing me of no return ticket, when i just checked in with the flight carrier who confirmed the 2 tickets for which i had the hardcopies
Not being able to load boarding pass sucks. So I went to my airlines kisok slower than ever wanted to know if I wanted to apply fior a credit card !! Omg got the pass and got in line for TSA. Where no one is paying attention about having I’d and pass ready to show
Yes, I need to do this. I left all the documents at home when we went to Europe one time. We didn't realize it until we had to check in at the first hotel in Amsterdam. And my cell was dead, my son's would not work on the WIFI. Joy of joys.
I used TSA Pre Check, best $85.00 I ever spent. Another piece of Advice, do not mess around with a READ ID driver's license, go get a passport or Passport card. Passport card is good for all domestic air travel and cost $65.00 and is good for 10 years. When I went to get TSA Precheck, my Passport was the only document I needed, my wife did not even need our marriage license to show she changed her name.
These are great tips! I was able to get TSA Precheck via Global Entry, and it has been wonderful every time I fly. I will share a few tips which I have that have helped me get through security: 1. If you normally get TSA Precheck and you are flying from an international destination and then have a connecting flight within the US, don't be surprised if the boarding pass for the domestic flight within the US does NOT have TSA Precheck printed on it since the boarding pass was printed outside of the United States. However, if you print out your boarding pass again for your US-based domestic flight connection, there's a good chance it will show TSA Precheck on it. This happened with me when I was flying back from Indonesia last year, and I had a connecting flight from LAX to Detroit. 2. Before getting to security, I highly recommend putting all of your pocket contents such as your cell phone or keys in your carry-on bag. That way you won't have to spend a lot of time at the security checkpoint having to empty your pockets and put everything in a bin full of germs. 3. Always wash your hands after going through security whether a pandemic is going on or not. You never know what viruses or bacteria may be in those bins!
Get to the airport on time. Show up to the airport two hours ahead of time for domestic flights and three hours for international flights. Then don't blame anyone but yourself if your late. Remember, no TSA screener wants to touch a passenger. So make certain there is nothing in your pockets when you go through the body scanner.
The 2 or 3 hours means before boarding time not take off time and I actually add at least an hour to each of those times as you never know if there are traffic issues en route, flight gets moved up, there are major line ups at security/check-in, or you are flagged for a secondary. If you find after going through security you have lots of time you can always read, get a bite to eat, play cards, people watch or find some other way to entertain yourself. You just want to make sure that you make it onto the plane before the crew close and lock the doors, because they won’t unlock and open them just for you, so you will have missed your flight. Edited to correct spelling.
I also have PreCheck, and have noticed that when they don't have a PreCheck lane (but still listed on your boarding pass) the TSA agent will give you a pass to let you use the metal detector and keep your shoes on. But you sometimes still need to remove your electronics, which can be a pain if you're not used to it and have packed deep in your carry on (like if you weren't planning on using it in flight)! Also, even if the TSA PreCheck line is longer, it will move faster. My partner was in a shorter regular TSA line and I was in a much longer PreCheck line, but I got through security much faster than her. PreCheck moves quickly after the boarding passes get scanned.
100% accurate information!! Excellent job... Just to add to the video: Have your boarding pass and ID ready before coming up to the ticket counter. When you challenge them or make life harder for TSA, expect the courtesy back. Most TSA officers just like you and me don't want to touch others, but the job requires them to search certain areas of a person / property because of something that alarmed. They just have a job to do, let them do their job. Just like you would want to do yours and not be challenged or rushed. Their job is to protect the aviation system and all traveling passengers (you & your family) and stakeholders. They just want to do their job and take home their pay check to the family. I will be going to California in a couple of days, so this will be helpful, in case I get popped for secondary screening like a patdown and what not to do at the Daniel K Rodgers Inouye International Airport or John Wayne County International Airport in California
I would add a few things to this list like always wear a zippered hoodie or jacket to the airport drain all your pockets on your pants and shirt put that stuff in the hoodie or jacket pockets so all you need to do is take off the jacket or hoodie throw it in a bin and your good. Also put your shoes in the first bin, jacket and purse or personal item in the second bin and your bag in last. Your shoes will likely go through just fine as will the jacket or hoodie and usually the purse or personal item. If anything of yours is going to be checked it will likely be your bag.if you put that other stuff through first you can at least be putting on your shoes and putting yourself back together while you wait for them to get to your bag and go through it. Don't forget frozen water is okay to go through security but it will get looked at. When I fly, just so I zip through faster I bring no food and no liquid with me and stuff $20 - 40 in my pocket and plan to buy any food or drinks on the other side of security. If money is an issue go for fast food. Still like $10 to 15 a meal, but what is more important to you, time going through security or a few extra bucks to eat once your through?
Outstanding video. Don’t bring a lot of chocolate packed tightly in a bag, unless you want secondary screening. Knew someone that this happened to. Once I had a small bottle of eye drops in my pocket that i forgot about, embarrassing and makes you look stupid. Lesson learned always double check your pockets before you go through the scanner. Also be nice and don’t make small talk with the agents.
I travel a lot and I found your list to be very accurate. And, yes, I have traveled with a live lobster... it was a promotion where the airline gave everyone traveling from Boston two live lobsters... very unsual. By the way, I recommend that anyone who does a lot of international trave get Global Entry, which includes TSA Pre. It is so fast when reentering the US... even faster than the handicap lines. Great video and really appreciate it.
If you’re a British citizen (and a few others) you can apply for Global Entry which includes TSA pre. Had it for 4 years now and it’s worth the $100 + £42 for the UK gov checks
You seriously are onw of the best youtube channels out there. Fun, informative and entertaining exactly as you say. Favorite part is that every time i see a video of yours pop up it jist reminds me of planning for my first trip outaide of north america... to japan! So great.
Great tips! LOL, use caution stuffing chocolates inside your YETI cup! Been there, done that😎. Yes, it makes for an interesting combination when viewed on x-ray....
One item I was surprised I was allowed to take on an airplane was metal circular knitting needles, those suckers can get sharp the thinner they get and the plastic cord connecting them can be pretty sturdy.
Hi Chris. Great tips. Always print out my travel documents when I travel . Nice to have a backup in case of emergency. Just follow the rules and it will be a much smoother way to go through security. Thanks for sharing.
I’m gonna be going to Florida in 2 weeks and my stomach just drops thinking about flying! I never thought I would be that nervous to go on an airplane..
10:50 Tip 11: had the SSSS printed on my boarding pass in New Yoik(!) years ago, prior to returning home (ah yes, Ireland); it's simply a random - random - doublecheck. Ended up having a really pleasant and informative chat with a very helpful TSA officer (who was, of course, checking me out - thank you Sir, nicely done). "Super easy, barely an inconvenience"!
ALWAYS carry a hard copy of your passport page and medication (if any) prescription and itinerary (if you have one); plus 1-1/2 or 2 times your estimated required meds - 1/2 in carry-on and 1/2 in checked - just in case....
I agree on printing boarding passes. I was unable to print coming off a cruise. In Miami it would not load on my phone. I went to the airlines kiosk and printed. It wanted me to apply for their Credit card which I already had… maybe thy should add that on the end AFTER printing. Love you tips !!!
@@YellowProductions Awesome Thanks, you just got a new sub! I'm going to check out some more videos, btw another idea if you ever make a video about avoiding pickpockets/safety, nobody seems to mention phones and cameras... (things you can't really keep in a money belt).
Even if you were only taking a friend to the airport, you could go right to the gate. And you could pick-up your friend right at the gate. There was no security.
I do - as a kilt wearing Scotsman I went through security with my huge razor sharp knife 🔪 tucked , as is traditional, into my sock , no questions asked, that was 1989….. don’t wear it at all now as it’s deemed a dangerous weapon. Who knew? 😁
You can bring ice through tsa and it does not count as a liquid while frozen... I like to carry ice in my insulated water bottle that I fill with water once inside the airport. I can't tell you what a luxury ice cold water during a long travel day is.
Years ago, I won a small thinly shaped clock with a huge dial (clock front) while on a trip, it looked expensive so I kept it. I placed that small rectangular clock into my backpack, without thinking how that would look under screening at the airport. Guess what? They stop me for special screening because they thought this clock looked like and could be a bomb; which of course it wasn't.
Hey Chris with liquid being packed on checked luggage, could I not pack a full size shampoo and conditioner? Were going on vacation for a week and I have super long hair I'd need like 20 mini shampoos otherwise.
One thing I always get stopped is my photography ball. They always get me at 2nd stop if I pack it in my backpack or camera bag. Remember to pack it in your checked luggage if you bring it
JEEZ I HAVE BAD ANXIETY the thing worrying me most is sercurity and sitting next to people when he said TSA PreCheck I was like IM DOING THAT He said “small fee” i was thinking like $15.... 😒 $85! More than my ticket
I've been through dozens of airports with professional camera gear and have never taken it out of my personal bag. I did leave my camera/personal bag unzipped once. A TSA agent picked up the bag, flipped it over and (accidentally) dumped out all of my camera gear into the tub the bag was in. ALWAYS re-zip your camera/personal bag after taking out your laptop!
I usually have a routine when I go through security. I know where everything is and it is easy to pull out. The line can be short or really long to get to the checkpoint but once I am at the belt to put my stuff on, it usually takes me less than a minute to have everything on there and be ready for the metal detector or the body scanner. I am very methodical and it is easy to put things back in. I still get surprised how many people will argue with security personnel about liquids, metal, electronics etc as there were not posters and notices everywhere to remove them and because of that they take a long time to get ready to go through. I have been a witness to it everytime I go to the airport.
If the posters aren't enough, all the security staff shouting at you to 'empty your pockets' and 'take off your shoes and belts people' etc should be enough of a clue as to what to do. I agree with you, it takes 2 minutes to get through security most times, occasionally I don't adopt the correct pose for the scanners but thats about it.
I always WRITE down on a small piece of paper where everything is. I assign a letter to each pocket on my backpack. A - passport/boarding pass B - wallet, pens and notepads C - everything else including cell phone, charger, travel toiletries, etc.
Use to work for airport security and the reason for not allowing scissors, blades, cutters is because depending on the length, those items can severely damage any internal organs once stabbed into somebody.
call me old fashion, I always print boarding pass. One thing that irritates me some security asked me to put everything in the bin including your passport n boarding pass. I remember TSA did ask me to do it twice. One time, I mentioned, I wanted to show my I'd. TSA let me carry my passport while scan my body. The other time, I was told to put in the gun. In China, the security would be very nice to store your passport n boarding pass in the bin or backpack? No , I don't want to argue with security. I just pray no one stole My passport
Agree. My husband put his passport & b pass under his stuff. Grabbed his stuff on other side & didn’t pick up his passport & boarding pass. The bin hot recycled no one noticed his passes. TSA had to go thru all their cameras to eventually find the bin. It took 45 minutes.
Great tips as always Chris! I have never looked into TSA PreCheck before but often wondered what was involved. If it is usually a 5 minute wait, I should probably look into doing that.
I think TSA PreCheck is super worth it. If you get Global Entry it also comes with TSA Pre Check... or you can get Pre Check separately if you don't really travel internationally.
Last flight tips video I watched (just before this one, but not by this channel) ... Always try to get a morning flight because reschedules cause a ripple effect that means evening flights are more likely to get rescheduled ... this video: Don't get a morning flight because that's when people fly to work and the security lines will be long... Conclusion, there's pros and cons to whichever way you do anything (even non flying related things) and knowing those pros and cons can help you tailor your experience to your needs.
I have bi-lateral knee implants, and prefer to go thru the body scanner as it won't detect my implants. The regular screening always alarms, and then I have to go thru secondary screening & explosive detection screening - I've never had anything that would be considered explosive except for the airbags in my car.
I try to place all my personal items into the locked pouch of my work bag. My wallet, keys, watch, pen & other metal objects are in the the one lockable section. I then exit the TSA or equivalent check point & return those items to my pockets. I recall a horrible time during school holidays where I arrived early & was 2 hours getting to check in due to school holiday onlookers. Now this was in 2005, so I learned my lesson so after for all future flights.
I had it where my boarding pass didn't scan right at security and I had to use the one on my phone. Always have multiple copies in multiple formats. =D
Fun and educational Video. Thanks Mr. Chris. Hope you and your family have a great 3 day weekend. Are you still a remote staff or physically back to the office now? Thanks. :-)
Excellent video ! Love the TSA Pre check. We have Nexus and are Canadian, but that gets us TSA Pre as well. Thanks for listing out all 15 great tips. As always enjoy your videos. Thanks Chris
I signed up for the TSA Pre-Check, but it never worked for me whenever I needed it to and had to do the regular “cattle call” BS whenever o flew. They sent me a renewal and I let it expire - now I DRIVE EVERYWHERE
I love the keeping the empty water bottle!!! My girlfriend put a water bottle in my carryon in Salt Lake City & TSA yelled out DEHYDRATION ALERT & not only did they take the water bottle they found, I was subjected to a full pay down etc!!! 🙄
CATAWAMPUS TIP from Elliot; If your flying into Los Angelas consider Ontario International Airport (ONT) instead of LAX: it's a lot smaller, airport traffic is easier to navigate and lines are (generally) shorter. May be marginally more expensive but it also may be worth it if this is a feasible option for your itinerary. :-)
Thanks for that CATAWAMPUS tip Elliot! :) I definitely prefer Ontario Airport or John Wayne (SNA) in Orange County as compared to LAX. Only thing is out of ONT or SNA if your flight is cancelled you have less options to hop on other flights.
@@YellowProductions I don't mind SNA but the only issue I have is the dang airlines keep putting me on their tiniest planes. Some of these are nothing more than stretched corporate jets! It's scary getting out of there because the pilots always "short" the runway. They backup ALL the way to the end and hold the brakes. Then they rev the throttle to maximum and let it go. The plane literally jumps into the air like a scalded cat! Did some research and it's at least partly influenced by a NIMBY laws from those snobby, uptight people who hate living next to an airport. 🙄
I work as a security officer at Belfast International Airport here in Northern Ireland, worst thing about the job is the hours, our systems are 20 years behind compared to the US, currently 11:22pm here I’m up at 01:30am to start a 03:15am shift 😒😂
Chris, Have you ever found a phone number for TSA that they actually answer? I wouldn’t classify myself as a frequent flier and occasionally have a question. Now here is a good one for you. I have had a knee replacement. I know even with these new body scanners, that I will be pulled aside for a pat down. Normally my wife is with me so she can intercept our carry ones. I will be traveling by myself once COVID is over. So now I’m going through a pat down and my carry on is unattended with everything from my pockets. How can I maintain security of my personal belongings when I’m in line for a pat down? Thank you, take care and stay healthy
Maybe put some TSA locks on your carryon? Yes... other people have master keys for the TSA locks.. but it would at least take some fumbling around... I've never tried to call the TSA so not sure about a phone number
Can't you just tell them when you put your bag down? And the stuff from your pockets. Alternatively is the weather permits wear trousers that are above the knee. Then they can squickly see there is nothing there. Or travel pants where you can zip thr bottom part off and back on when you are through security. Good luck!
When I was leaving Des-Monies USA I had small snow globes and I was told I couldn't take them through security and then had to check one of my bags in.
6:00 idk if the rules have changed, but I went to SeaTac like a year and a half ago and got dinged for having liquid formula for my kid... They made us open all 12 individual bottles for them to check even though we literally bought them on the way to the airport and all but one were still sealed.....
Wow! Great tip! I've seen hundreds of packing videos and they always have the same old stolen and recycled "tips/hacks" ....that's so much ! Appreciate all your hard work
Oh, another tip: In your suitcase (checked or carry-on), put all clothes in one side so no metal or random things, and put all the metal and random things in the other side. If you use cubes or the case has a zipper divider between the sides, then at least security won't be touching your actual clothes when they go looking for something as that stuff is all on the other side. And from watching Nothing to Declare, it boggles the mind how people think they can bring drugs on a plane. Don't do that. They have dogs and x-ray and will find it in your laptop, in the lining of your bag, inside your cane, in your stomach, wherever you put it. I'm good if you go to jail for it, but if you're not, don't bring drugs on a dang plane. They have dogs that sniff out food and lots of cash too so just don't.
Here in Australia we only have the liquid rule for International flights. The times I’ve flown domestic I realised I left full bottles of water, mouthwash etc they had no issues with it
You've always got great tips for us. My next trip I've decided to wear sweat pants so I don't have to take my belt (with buckle) on and off. Belt will go on carry on luggage. BTW, I'm a bowler, and I never knew you couldn't carry on a bowling PIN. Fun fact for my buddies tonight in our bowling league!
Hello, 1st time flying… any liquid over 3.4oz goes in the checked bag? Then located under the plane? Bigger bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ect.

Would love to see a similar style video about going through customs in various countries.
Thanks Mark! Wow.. thats an unusual Airline promotion to get a live lobster :)
Where do I go to get global entry
If you’re a British citizen (and a few others) you can apply for Global Entry which includes TSA pre. Had it for 4 years now and it’s worth the $100 + £42 for the UK gov checks
Thanks for the tip Tracey!
Very helpful Info , Thank you , By the way we love your informative show .
Thanks Joe!
Hi Chris. Great tips. Always print out my travel documents when I travel . Nice to have a backup in case of emergency. Just follow the rules and it will be a much smoother way to go through security. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks James!
I print everything, can’t always locate an email. I have a pice of paper wiry my name address ,email and phone number INSIDE my bags
The best time to travel around the holidays, is ON the holiday. Everyone has already reached their destination.
I’m gonna be going to Florida in 2 weeks and my stomach just drops thinking about flying! I never thought I would be that nervous to go on an airplane..
Happy thoughts.. Happy Thoughts :)
This is probably the best video I've seen on the topic. It is packed with information and entertaining. Well done!
Thanks Diane!
Thanks !!!
Thanks for the informative videos for all new travelers I do appreciate it a lot
Yep just like Ben Stiller said on Meet the Parent's, "You can't say bomb on a plane".😂
i have a flight in a week and im so nervous!! Thank you for the tips! and do you know if i could bring candy with me?
Hi Tania.. yes.. you can absolutely bring candy
I alway print everything on paper as a back up because I just never know the what if situation arise.
Good minds think alike!
ALWAYS carry a hard copy of your passport page and medication (if any) prescription and itinerary (if you have one); plus 1-1/2 or 2 times your estimated required meds - 1/2 in carry-on and 1/2 in checked - just in case....
Having a pleasant outlook is important, because the security people are observing your reaction as well as the contents of your luggage.
yes, look them straight in the eye, keep it serious, but not angry
Half of them are standing around doing absolutely nothing
I'm Working on That...I Remind myself TSA are Just doing Their Job😤...😠...🙂
There 3 Sercruity Check Points in Dtw one at the checking in floor and 1 the floor below and 1 in the Westin connected to the airport
I agree on printing boarding passes. I was unable to print coming off a cruise. In Miami it would not load on my phone. I went to the airlines kiosk and printed. It wanted me to apply for their Credit card which I already had… maybe thy should add that on the end AFTER printing. Love you tips !!!
Thanks Laurel!
Always nice to see an American not just assuming everyone on youtube is American.
Thanks! And I'll consider a customs video in the future!
@@YellowProductions awesome!
@@YellowProductions Awesome Thanks, you just got a new sub! I'm going to check out some more videos, btw another idea if you ever make a video about avoiding pickpockets/safety, nobody seems to mention phones and cameras... (things you can't really keep in a money belt).
Do you remember the times before airport security was a big deal? I don't but my parents do 🤣🤣
I remember walking right up to the gate with no security for sure
Even if you were only taking a friend to the airport, you could go right to the gate. And you could pick-up your friend right at the gate. There was no security.
@@Nonduality There was spot check security in the uk
I do - as a kilt wearing Scotsman I went through security with my huge razor sharp knife 🔪 tucked , as is traditional, into my sock , no questions asked, that was 1989….. don’t wear it at all now as it’s deemed a dangerous weapon. Who knew? 😁
You can bring ice through tsa and it does not count as a liquid while frozen... I like to carry ice in my insulated water bottle that I fill with water once inside the airport. I can't tell you what a luxury ice cold water during a long travel day is.
Thanks for that report Adam!
Excellent vid Chris - appreciate your advice & sharing your experience 😎🇨🇦✌️
Thanks David!
What about crochet hooks or knitting needles? Can I carry them on the plain? Nobody could answer that question :))
Hey Chris with liquid being packed on checked luggage, could I not pack a full size shampoo and conditioner? Were going on vacation for a week and I have super long hair I'd need like 20 mini shampoos otherwise.
Yup! You sure can put a full size shampoo in your checked luggage
One thing I always get stopped is my photography ball. They always get me at 2nd stop if I pack it in my backpack or camera bag. Remember to pack it in your checked luggage if you bring it
Can you carry a small nose and ear trimmer with a very small alkaline battery
JEEZ I HAVE BAD ANXIETY
the thing worrying me most is sercurity and sitting next to people when he said TSA PreCheck I was like IM DOING THAT
He said “small fee” i was thinking like $15.... 😒 $85! More than my ticket
TSA Pre Check is good for 5 years :)
@@YellowProductions yeah i dont fly often and im younger so dont have money its a Great idea tho for when im older.
Yeah.. and sure enough that arguing doesn't actually help them get their liquids through :)
I always WRITE down on a small piece of paper where everything is. I assign a letter to each pocket on my backpack. A - passport/boarding pass
B - wallet, pens and notepads
C - everything else including cell phone, charger, travel toiletries, etc.
One time in 2018 me and my mom and her friend and I didn’t even know that we got tsa pre check I looked at the airline tickets and it said pre check
Use to work for airport security and the reason for not allowing scissors, blades, cutters is because depending on the length, those items can severely damage any internal organs once stabbed into somebody.
Makes sense
You are amazing! Thank you very much for all the information 😊
Thanks Aline!
call me old fashion, I always print boarding pass.
I'm old fashioned too! :)
Agree. My husband put his passport & b pass under his stuff. Grabbed his stuff on other side & didn’t pick up his passport & boarding pass. The bin hot recycled no one noticed his passes. TSA had to go thru all their cameras to eventually find the bin. It took 45 minutes.
Weird question but when I go through airport security, I just hold my passport or put it in the bucket? From Heathrow thanks :)
I'd put your passport in something. Like your backpack or whatever. Just not out in the bucket
What about plastic bottles of mentos gum? They rattle. But I love my mentos and they don't have they there. Tea bags?
Love your tips! #10 & #11 all day. 😄
Aww thanks!
The lobster thing was hilarious! What if they got loose inside the cabin, what a laugh to see the crew try to put them back in the plastic bag lol!
Those packing bags are awesome! Been using for travel 🧳 both air & Car 🚙 travel 😻😻😻😻
This was incredibly helpful!
Thanks Pancake Day!
The regular screening always alarms, and then I have to go thru secondary screening & explosive detection screening - I've never had anything that would be considered explosive except for the airbags in my car.
thank you for the tips. We will be flying to Vegas for a bowling tournament in April and the bowling tips were really helpful
Thanks Sandy!
Good plan! :)
@P. Nguyen Where do u get Boarding pass?
@@Nikki_Daily_Life I printed the one that JAL emailed me, but it was formatted for A4 paper so it didn't print quite right on letter sized paper.
@@p.nguyen4010 thank uuu
Fun and educational Video. Thanks Mr. Chris. Hope you and your family have a great 3 day weekend. Are you still a remote staff or physically back to the office now? Thanks. :-)
Thanks M P! Still working from home :)
Great video!
Thanks Jeannified!
Excellent video ! Love the TSA Pre check. We have Nexus and are Canadian, but that gets us TSA Pre as well. Thanks for listing out all 15 great tips. As always enjoy your videos. Thanks Chris
Thanks Colleen! Precheck is great for sure!
I signed up for the TSA Pre-Check, but it never worked for me whenever I needed it to and had to do the regular “cattle call” BS whenever o flew. They sent me a renewal and I let it expire - now I DRIVE EVERYWHERE
Great vid - thanks
Does power bank for laptop or cell allowed in carry on? If does, what's the max power l can take with me?
The limit is 100 Watt Hours for the battery. Though you can go bigger with airline approval
Hi, this is our first international flight in about 6 years do your video was really helpful and put our minds much more at ease. Great video!
Thanks Katie!
I love the keeping the empty water bottle!!! My girlfriend put a water bottle in my carryon in Salt Lake City & TSA yelled out DEHYDRATION ALERT & not only did they take the water bottle they found, I was subjected to a full pay down etc!!! 🙄
Great video. I always end up putting my carry-on in a bin. Do I have to do that?
Depends on the xray machine.. but many xray machines you can just put your carryon on the belt without a bin
I never signed up/paid for tsa pre check I just saw it printed on my ticket one day. Super weird
They opt some "frequent fliers" in to it
Velcro belt, slip on / off shoes and travel light. Do those 3 things and you will breeze through.
Love your tips!!, Thank you!!
Foam toy swards can easily hide metal or other hard swards.
How about items on and with military personnel?
so i have a flight in 2 weeks and was wondering how much snacks can i bring
As much as you want as long as your snacks aren't liquid ;)
I work as a security officer at Belfast International Airport here in Northern Ireland, worst thing about the job is the hours, our systems are 20 years behind compared to the US, currently 11:22pm here I’m up at 01:30am to start a 03:15am shift 😒😂
Ooof.. thats a long shift!
In checked luggage can you have your shampoos and conditioners in a larger bag or do they still have to abide by the quart sized bag rule?
You can have as much liquids as you want in a checked in luggage. No limits
I’ve never had a really bad TSA experience other than slow moving lines. Even the longest lines seem to take about 15 mins tops.
Bummer
Metal zippers don’t cause an alarm. I’ve never seen that.
Heyy! Plz try to reply as fast as possible, is roll perfume (the small ones) are they allowed in carry ons?? And what about makeup?
Thanks for this!
6:00 idk if the rules have changed, but I went to SeaTac like a year and a half ago and got dinged for having liquid formula for my kid... They made us open all 12 individual bottles for them to check even though we literally bought them on the way to the airport and all but one were still sealed.....
Awesome awesome job Chris.
Thanks Adam from 2099!
No problem chris come visit my channel any time and if like drop subscribe button .
Wow! Great tip! I've seen hundreds of packing videos and they always have the same old stolen and recycled "tips/hacks" ....that's so much ! Appreciate all your hard work
Thanks Nexus!
You can bring meatle waterbotle in your suite case & no big bag of candy too & your meds in a clair canter too
This is is helpful! Can i keep all of my electronics in one clear bag together in a grey bin?
You can. If they aren't a ton of electronics. Not sure about you but my laptop doesn't fit in a clear bag :)
I’m looking into Clear membership and ways to reduce cost United has promo 10k miles until 7/9
You can’t carry a foam sword but my dad once carried on an actual sword thru an international flight…
The times I’ve flown domestic I realised I left full bottles of water, mouthwash etc they had no issues with it
Nice!
Great tip on not to wrap gifts. Also, don’t bring cheese trays with a cheese cutter. Not allowed.
I think it’s funny that I can carry on my knitting needles….lol
LOT OF GREAT TIPS THANKS
Thanks Linda!
No bowling pins for you! 😉
Hello, 1st time flying… any liquid over 3.4oz goes in the checked bag? Then located under the plane? Bigger bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ect.
Yup!
