Mam ischemic heart disease and coronary artery disease same?
Good afternoon mam. Mam please i hv to clear my one doubt in part 2 CAD that is coronary artery disease. In surgical management mam when you instruct about Coronary artery bypass surgery u was said to take a Artieres Or veins from another part of our body like throat etc then we attach it into on the obstruction area where blockage occur right. Then it ll give a new passage Or way a to flow a blood through coronary artery to myocardium. Okay. I mean we create a new channel. Then if we talk about another method that is athrectomy that's removal or cutting of plagus in artery that's a permanent method or a solution to remove accumulation I understand both. Now I hv to clear main thing then if we have a permanent removal of plagus through athrectomy then for what purpose do coronary artery bypass surgery is this for a small or little bit blockage solution..... Please replying me mam for clear my doubts. I thankful you for this........!..
Dear it depends like on person to person that what kind of surgery should be opted as in angioplasty like athrectomy or coronary angioplasty there are chances that the condition will come again after few years as it is not a permanent solution it is prefered when the person has mild obstruction and not any other disease condition and it does not treat the underlying cause as well whereas coronary artery bypass surgery provides relief for long-term like around 10 to 20 years even if it is a major surgery so some people who have already undergone angioplasty and the condition occurs again so they need to go for bypass surgery and is prefered when there are multiple obstructions to provide long term relief
