I like the way that company stepped up and helped you figure out the issue with that xting. You're a good man for giving that company a chance seeing how they reached out to you I could totally understand just wanting to go back to your normal carburetor but good job for you giving them a chance 🤘

I fell your pain brother. 4 years ago I had bought a standard Lectron carb for my YZ250X. Metering rod wasn't even close to correct. Float level wasn't stable, hanging idle ect. Ok so float valve was would hang up, small file took care of that. Ordered metering rod which Lectron supplied for free. I paid shipping. The carb splits in half so I took it apart and gave it a fine sanding on flat surface on the mating faces. Put that SOB back together, now it's good. Keep up the good work man !

Designing a better mousetrap , can not be easy. Hopefully XTNG gets the choke circuit improved, and come out with a real winner!

Interesting! Glad to hear that the company stood behind it's product and you were open minded enough to put in the effort to give it another shot, especially since metering rod carbs aren't your favorites to begin with.
Looking forward to the real world test, looks promising so far. A malfunctioning choke would definitely do a good leaking Mikuni jet block gasket imitation, leaving rider chasing their tail trying to "fix the jetting". Been there, done that before knowing better - LOL

🤘When you brought the XTNG back out I was like Jim Carey in dumb and dumber... So you're sayin theres a chance... Sucks you had to basically delete choke circuit but sounds like XTNG is going to hopefully get it handled... Also, thanks for sharing the brand of the mitts, I was wondering what brand those were.

To bad rb designs quit modify pwk carbs. His carb mod was golden. I had few done before he retired. Omg they made a pwk rip.
Use to be able to send him used carbs now just does new by looks if you ever get a chance try one brings pwk to new level
His carb mods complimented his head mods so nicely.
If u don't have scratch in your cylinder you aren't riding it hard enough

There is a lot you can do but honestly I don’t think it’s worth it. Personal opinion is just rude it for what it is and upgrade bikes eventually

The TTR-230 is the ultimate Dad bike. There’s no better platform for leading kids down single track. Best transmission I’ve ever had. Just don’t jump it - those 9 inches of travel are hard on wrists and ankles.

Did xtng not get hold of you? They put a video up yesterday saying there is a leak (air/fuel?) In the choke circuit and are sending fixes out.
However, in the testing video I did notice the terrain was, once again, largely smooth.
He did have that in an update somewhere.

@@highlandcycles every version of a lectron ive tried to tune for customers just feels like a compromise they either run good on top or run good down low but sell them both. Key and pwk on my bike
