ABANDONED (not quite) CHATEAU - Château de Coeuvres-Valsery

IT'S FOR SALE. We normally like to look at abandoned chateaux, but this one is so unusual we had to share. It is currently for sale. The Château de Coeuvres, dating from the 16th century, is a quadrangle flanked by four corner pavilions. The most remarkable element is the so-called Henri IV pavilion, square in plan, with mullioned windows and dormer windows with arched pediments. It is said to be the meeting place of Henry IV and Gabrielle d'Estrées in 1590. 87km from Paris, by the A1 or A3.
