    Appreciate the video. Only thing I can add is they have an informational ad about this product and they specifically say Not to brush it on but to use a spreader. Not sure how much of a difference it will make, but I'll probably give it a shot.

    I have seen this used before and it is a good product, though the odor is quite strong. Thanks for the lesson!

    Good vid love your shop. The factory primer will be a very light grey almost white looking color. From what I’ve seen in the past VW never used a brown primer.
    Don’t blast the flat areas because of warping.

    Using a spreader instead of a brush helps the performance as well. Something about a thicker coat with this stuff seems to do the trick in one go.

    Would it have helped to scuff with sandpaper again before reapplying?

      Probably but might have been messy with the gel still on there.

    In your estimate, how much would 1 gallon cover? I have a 1965 c10 truck and am trying to figure out how many gallons would be needed for the entire truck. Thanks!

      Not sure if you have a long bed or short bed, but I'd say to be generous with the stripper maybe 2 to 3 cans as a start. Might be more depending on how much paint is on the truck.

      @TheBabins Год назад

      @@JayDubCustoms It is a short bed. I just priced one gallon, and it cost about $112.00 per gallon. Also, I called the manufacturer. They told me one gallon would cover 25 square feet. Thanks for given me your opinion!

    Next time you have to do this I've been using aircraft stripper my whole life you don't have to sand anyting this duffle eat right through any kind of paint in minutes brush it on scrape it off sanded down and then you're ready to prep for paint just in case anybody looks pissed off you don't need to go and sand anything down before you apply the stripper

      @tomikhaos7248 Do you have some of the older stuff with the Methylene Chloride in it?

      When I put it on paint in any metal on my race cars it strips at automatically there is no sanding needed I never rough up any kind of paint I just put it on and let it work I watched this other guy who was using it some kind of brand it wasn't what I use and he was covering it with cellophane never do that the air activates it

    This stuff does have methylene chloride in it. The other airplane stripper doesn’t. This is the ultra. The regular actually says on the front of the can, NO METHYLENE CHLORIDE! It says that no where on this can and when you Google paint strippers with methylene chloride, this ultra is one of the first ones that comes up!

      Oh, interesting. Good to know. I thought it was kinda strong when I was doing that. I had to put a mask on.
