    I'm a huge FSU fan. IMO, Nebraska from 1994-1997 was the best college football program, bar none. Great program, great coaches, great players. I was really happy to see the 1995 team crush UF. I hope you guys win the B1G this season!

      Would've been nice to see Nebraska play FSU in the 1997 title game. They likely would've given NU a better game than Tennessee did.

      @@cacornhusker2940 I think Michigan's victory the previous day contributed to Tennessee's performance against Nebraska. Michigan's Rose Bowl win rendered it impossible for Tennessee to win the title.

    In 1997, Scott Frost played as good as ANY QB ever has at Nebraska, they simply don't win the NC without him.

    wow...great video thanks..this is the nebraska football i remember as a kid..what happened to this type of nebraska football just pounded teams beastly oline dominate defense and the running game was unreal in these years sad how they fell off the way they did..go canes

    My wife and I lived in Seattle in 97', had the best time ever at the game. We actually got to go to the game on a boat! Sitting in the end zone, we could see the mountains at the other end of the stadium. Will never forget it and that season. Frost was a great NU QB, IMO second to only Frazier, but it is close.

    Ive never was alive these times but I can see how good Nebraska was in the 90s, but ive seen them be good in the 2000s and early 2010s, and I see that they were so CLOSE going 5 in a row seasons undefeated winning titles also 1999 too.
    I also watched all the 70s, 80s, and 90s Nebraska games every season, I think Nebraska should have more than just 5, I think Nebraska should have 10 today.

    I loved these '90's Nebraska teams because they would line up and pound the football down your throat and there was nothing you could do about it. I miss that kind of football

      Nebraska was beating 90% of opponents their first few years in the B1G. It was joining the B1G that killed their recruiting pipeline from Texas. That's yet another reason Rhule was hired. He has major connections in Texas, and has stated his goal is to recruit Texas heavily.

    Post Osborne era.
    Solich era 1998-2003: 58 won and 19 lost.
    Callahan era 2004-2007: 27 win and 22 lost.
    Pelini era 2008-2014 and coach in bowl game in 2003. 1 win in a bowl game and 66 win and 27 lost.
    Cotton era 2014 in bowl game is 1 lost.
    Riley era 2015-2017: 19 win and 19 lost
    Frost era no more firing.
    Post Osborne era 171 win and 88 lost.
    Keep Frost as head coach.

    It was sad seeing the Oklahoma and Nebraska rivalry fall 🥺😢😭. Big 8 to the Big 12. Great games for both programs, I hated how Texas took Oklahoma as their rival, it was a goodbye since then. That right there is where I respect the B10 conference for Michigan and Ohio State keeping their rivalry, even though there’re more teams in the east side of the conference than in the west side of the conference.

    Tom Osborne is our leader our hero and champion maker; not just for the team members, but for all the people all over the state.
    He gave us a New Pride and Standard to live up to.

    My only problem with this video is that there's no footage from the Orange Bowl win over Tennessee...and the National Championship announcement, later.
    Maybe there were proprietary issues preventing that, but the Huskers played their final game of the '97-'98 season knowing that Tom Osborne was retiring.
    I'm sure that was a huge factor in the way they played that game.

      Could see he didn't get along with Pederson but who could blame him? Finding out lot of people in 07 year he was fired, people resigned because they didn't lime Steve Pederson. Frankly I wish that the board would of fired Harvey Pearlman as well.

      @@frederickwarren4158 nope, blame California government on that. Phillips was on his own since he was about 9. Had they seen problems in the group homes back when Phillips was in them, helped the kids instead of being horrible to them, Phillips could of had a chance.

    Where is Nebraska now??? They are not even going to a bowl game in 2017 and it looks like they'll be looking for another head coach again. That coach may be getting fired. The only big red out there is WISCONSIN AND THEY ARE UNDEFEATED AND HAVE A SHOT AT THE NATIONAL TITLE. Wisconsin whipped Nebraska again this year 38-17 in their own building in Lincoln, by the way.

      Nebraska is the Father of Wisconsin Football. The Huskers were the blueprint for Wisconsin. Without NU the Badgers don’t exist in the form you see today.

      Idk if id go that far... Nebraska had a lot of those florida athletes on both sides(defense was lethal).. i believe ucf wouldve been more competitive though

    Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nebraska this, Nebraska that. Too bad they haven't done very well since they came to the BIG TEN. They cant compete with OHIO STATE, PENN STATE, MICHIGAN or WISCONSIN. I recall Wisconsin putting 70 points on Nebraska a few years ago. 2001, Colorado got their revenge and whipped Nebraska 62-36 and Nebraska fans were bawling and crying real tears. Colorado beat TEXAS in the Big 12 Championship game in 2001. Texas would have beaten Nebraska. Instead, Colorado was Big 12 Champions in 2001.

      Its a good thing Nebraska had not joined the Big 10 in the 80s or 90s. Your view would be different. Where did Barry Alvarez play? How many National Football titles have Wisconsin won? Anthony run your mouth when the badgers win a title. Only Wisconsin and Ohio St have a winning record over the Huskers since they joined the Big 10.
