    The straps to set the tilting angle of the panels is a really neat desing! With your e-bike, this could make a free worldwide toruing setup! The closer you get to the equator, the shorter the charging breaks get! ^^)

    so 100W charging per hour gives you about 1Kr at the current price or $0.13 so it would repay itself in about 10.000 hours since this set costs about $1000. At 10 hours / day it would take about 3.5 years.
    When you're off-grid like Cindy (in sunny Portugal) it would be ideal, but otherwise don't expect this to come even close to be break-even.
    (Prices are different everywhere so only the given numbers were used.)

    • @MyPlayHouse
      @MyPlayHouse  2 года назад

      Yes with power prices that low,, the math does not look good,,, but we have had prices over $1.20 per KWh (they have come a bit down again "Luckily") but then the math looks a lot better.

    it could run an small arm cluster on nano pi 24/7 with a few panels - v positive and you should check out will prowse on youtube - expand and go up one tier (again)and add bigger panels bit by bit - you want ti input more - i think some will run 1000 watts in from panels - you could run ms cluster 24/7 from panels would be nice way to go for you - yes you will have to over provision a little but i think you can do a lot with 8 modern panels, add a micro turbine or build a helical turbine with big blades to get 1000 watts or something - you can make power at night and during storms and it will diversify your energy sources so you always have power of some sort - get a big lithium battery and a few panels and go all in - you will save money - clear out some trees and build a fame you can weigh down with block - this is way you should go - this one charges and sends out elec at same time - progress - you should look into running servers on 240 from solar panels - you may have to combine a couple solar gen to get split phase but you would save and non trivial amount of power running at higher voltages - run alphafold db on solar powered mini cluster - no arm you need machines with gpu for alphafold and like 8 cores but it it is just serving files it may not use much power - i have 2 desktop machine serving up some sites and they are using 90w so you may be able to save some power and make the solar gen work for you but you need the combo and the battery - here you can add on also so progress - good content!

    @18:30 you mention the display only showing 20% increments. Everyone has commented on this to bluetti but they are fine with them in the older models. I guess they have a new display they use in the EB3A and newer that displays with 1% granularity. But as far as the display here, can you connect to the unit with the Bluetti App and get the exact battery percentage? Surely it does not also report in 20% blocks.

    Great to see you review this as it's the exact same one I have...I bought myself not gifted ;)
    I have a problem with it just randomly stopping on an appliance it should easily cope with (700w max no surge). I didn't buy the solar panel and thinking of getting a no-name brand so your other video was interesting. A bit unfair to compare the no-name one with this however because wasn't the no-name one half the capacity?
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts on both units and solar panels 😊

    • @MyPlayHouse
      @MyPlayHouse  2 года назад

      It uses the same crickets for solar and wall power,, 200watt charging on a 716wh unit,, would be something like 3½ hour,, it is fine for my use,,, took way longer to charge with solar,, as I kept getting shadows on the panels.

Climate change will happen quickly and it is for when you are away on holiday. I live in England and I can't see your climate being much different from over here, and I think a garden watering system would be useful. I wouldn't dismiss the idea especially with fires in summer.
