This man gets it. He has always been one of my favorite anglers, if not my favorite because of the natural approach he takes in relation to fishing. After many years (72) I have used this approach for my bass fishing and deer hunting and it works.
Thanks for another great video Mr.Clunn! I foresee your channel being the greatest ever on RUclips! The stories and personal interaction you have is unmatched!!! Merry Christmas sir!!
Dang Rick doni miss the virgin river amd high water. I didn't really get to fish mead until the 2nd round of high water in the mid 90s. How did you manage the gas issue when u made the run from cville bay to the lower grand canyon? Did those 5 pounders come out of willow trees by chance?
It is always interesting to hear your words, Mr. Clunn. It would be great to see you fishing in Spain, here there are many semi-desert lakes similar to the ones you mention, and it is incredible that in summer with more than 100 degrees the big ones bite spinnerbaits and topwaters in full sun, just like you mention. I hope you are aware that the impact of your wisdom reaches all over the world, greetings from Spain!
I will always cherish your words - sharing your life experiences- and your philosophy on fishing--they have been a beacon to me in My fishing life that I now share with my Grandchildren- God Bless you Rick Clunn ; so grateful to have lived in your lifetime and to have you share it in such a special way not seen these days 😊 God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and all you love.
Merry Christmas Mr.Clunn just done finishing with a man who has fished in some tournaments with you. Big John Sowens from Pickensville marine. He showed me the rattle trap trick with the treble hook.
Sorry, I'm not Rick and I hope he responds to this question. He has mentioned that in a tournament years ago, he went 3 practice days and 3 competition days without a single bite.
I want to wait last minute for this one for an very good reason. The question is how to win tournament's from an fish management stand point the best that we can because we know it alot of times takes kick fish to win but my question is for alot of people that have this question. I already have the answer I think but I want here from you on this one because I know from the earlier history of bass fishing and now it's come an long way since I want to say 1968. So I want to know from your word's because everyone got away they describe it. But what would be your best answer for that the way tournament's are today but I want to get on the bass side of it because I know it's going to be different depending on the species and what I'm talking about is through a 5 bass limit what is the best way to do more good on an fishery than bad during an tournament practice etcetera?
What part of your experience on the water helps with ffs....they say you can throw all you have known out the window but I don't believe that...some of the best guys I notice start looking guided by structure....but they dont relly talk about it..there has got to be more than pulling out in middle of lake and dropping trolling motor.

Rick, when you speak I listen.
Thank you
Rick your remarks about knowing what the locals AREN'T fishing was a real eye opener. Another example of why you're the greatest mind in bass fishing.
Loved this one Rick. Great insight as usual!
I appreciate that, all this social media stuff isn’t easy to navigate for an older guy. I’m trying my best and I appreciate your positivity.

Funny how burning a spinnerbait works in gin clear water, it’s my number one pattern at Cumberland
Have you ever been on a lake you that you just couldn't get on a pattern or find fish at all and how did you handle that.
