Wigs, weaves, and I believe lashes were worn years before black women by whites. especially in entertainment - theater/ movies, for replacements after loss of hair, etc. cultural status, and yes, for sheer added attracttion! Black women became aware of these " attractiveness additions " that were now made available to them for retail profits. Black women believed that these " features " could or would enhance their beauty, not considering the standard of use, how and where these additional accessories could enhance their attractiveness. Like any woman, especially black women who have been made to feel less attractive, join the cosmetic commercial ism" now made financially available and unfortunately went overboard. We all want to feel pretty as women, yet we often fail to realize the our inner beauty or the absurdity of trying someone else. Hopefully, we will save our money, invest in something else or purchase these accessories and use them more conservatively .
I appreciate the opinion of Black men. I do agree the big Lashes look a little bit ridiculous sometimes however people should feel free to do what they want and not be judged by it. If you’re a black man and you don’t like Lashes then find a black woman who doesn’t Wear Lashes, it’s that simple.

Luenell kept it real. And broke it down as it should have been. The interviewer thinks Aries disrespected black women? By stating his opinion? Aries’s comment was about black women. It wasn’t about women of other races. Because he’s talking to black women. He talks about others too. It’s constructive criticism. NOT bashing
White women do all the shit we do. So do other women in other cultures. We dammed if we do sistas and we are dammed if we don't. The only reason I personally don't wear lashes is because I rub my eyes too much and I ten to go for a bit of a natural look for stage. Because them chicken warmer lights is gon make me sweat so the less stuff I have on the better. But for the sistas who look pretty in them cool. There are some that do wayyyy too much on a daily at regular places though. But do you though.

3:25 I'm sorry Luenell, Asians do it, whites do it, latins do it. A lot of people complain about their own. It's just the fact that when black people say stuff like this... they never consume content from other races, so they never see it.
No other races of people drag each other down, that's the first thing they noticed about us we have no unity that's how slavery got started and that's why it lasted so long and we had nothing to do with the ending of it
It’s sad that this is a topic. If people want to look like clowns let them no matter what race. People are too caught up in what people like people look like and not caught up on their damn bills.
Aries doesn’t care cause no of those eyelash women checking for him. He doing this for attention, he seen how much he was talked about after the lizo debacle and he knows he needs to say controversial things to be seen. I will say I agree with him about the eyelashes; however I believe his motives are more not pure so it doesn’t really matter that he’s right. Why don’t he help people with weight loss types or helping people fight diabetes I know he knows something about that
White women wear big ass lashes too! My Greek friend wears big ones too. One day we were going out to dinner and she asks me infront of everyone what I thought about her lashes, only because… anyone who knows me knows if you want the truth, ask me. My response “they look heavy” and she died laughing. She knew they looked wild deep down. She told em the next day, he man threw them out because her thought it was big ashes or something from her weed smoking 😂😭
I don't do lashes.. Seriously, I thought lashes were primarily for Drag Queens and Cabaret Dances.. Is that true? Where did the idea of lashes come from?
I think part of it is the low self esteem some black man have about themselves which is the reason why they’re so comfortable with putting down their own women. I remember when everyone used to make fun of black women for wearing long colorful nails and then about five years ago the Kardashians made it a trend to wear long nails and now everyone thinks it’s just fine… Black women are trend setters , ladies just be who you are and express your beautiful fearlessly!!! ❤
So when black women criticize black men who sag their pants, are they putting them down?????Don't know why black women feel like it's ok for them to criticize everybody else but no one should criticize them.

I'd totally forgotten about Spears's eye lashes statement. If Spears goes back to the 1960s. Women wore those fake eyelashes. And they were just as big in size like we see them today. I wonder if his comment has more so to do with character of the woman and less about the style? I ask because during the 60s, pretty much all the women wore those over the top eyelashes. Super model Twiggy from 60s wore them. Goldie Gawn, Shelly Duvall and many wore them. In fact. The super long eyelashes were a signature look from the 60s and were more popular than today.
I’m a woman and I think they look ridiculous. People just follow others. They don’t even ask themselves if I like it or does it look good on me? White women don’t wear those lashes for the most part and so what if they do. We don’t need company to validate it. Lunell our men agree that’s why they’re not defending that.

Luenell kept it real. And broke it down as it should have been. The interviewer thinks Aries disrespected black women? By stating his opinion? Aries’s comment was about black women. It wasn’t about women of other races. Because he’s talking to black women. He talks about others too. It’s constructive criticism. NOT bashing
Absolutely agree and this is coming from a black woman who doesn’t wear lashes
Read my response
Way to go pick me!
@@ItsMrstoyouboo pick me is wearing them ugly lashes thinking you'll attract men with them😂
The problem with your is that black women don't wanna listen, but think they can tell if what to do. That's kinda our fault
Yall act no one one should criticize black women....for as much criticism black women give to black men. Yall will be aight.
It's a fucking opinion
We're not coming to their defense because we agree with him. Love my Beautiful Black Sisters. We all have to represent "OURSELVES " better in public💪🏾💐✊🏾🙏🏿
Stop it, women sit on the internet and talk about black men all day like they got tails on them
Great content ❤❤❤

This dude trying so hard to get her to be offended but she agrees with him
This interviewer was trying to instigate something, wasn't expecting her response to be so calm and demure 😅
Lunell is the coolest lady in the business 😊
Miss Luenell sorry old white queen got the spelling wrong my bad !!
3:25 I'm sorry Luenell, Asians do it, whites do it, latins do it. A lot of people complain about their own.
It's just the fact that when black people say stuff like this... they never consume content from other races, so they never see it.
No other races of people drag each other down, that's the first thing they noticed about us we have no unity that's how slavery got started and that's why it lasted so long and we had nothing to do with the ending of it
I agree... another way to clown the black woman...the big lashes ain't necessary....🤡🤡
I would like to a "secret base" style beef video to lay out the timeline and details of the Aries Spears Vs. Comedy Hype😂😂
I respect her and would love to see her in more movies
PTL Y’all…Luenell responded to this discussion well: 💙💙💙💙💙💯💌!
It’s sad that this is a topic. If people want to look like clowns let them no matter what race. People are too caught up in what people like people look like and not caught up on their damn bills.
Never understood how tf what I do, directly affect others, SUPER weird.... #DoYou 🗣‼🙄
Why don’t he help people with weight loss types or helping people fight diabetes I know he knows something about that
I don't care for the long lashes or long nails. I'm not paying for it so I don't complain about it if a woman I'm dating wears it. Do you Boo.
Aries is just like Faizon. The only time you hear from them is when they have something negative to say. It's usually about Black women.
No it's not, just because he might disagree with black women doesn't mean he's always on them
It’s amazing how you don’t see the world for what it is actually happening?
It's my opinion, I don't need your permission or approval for it. 🙄🤡
Aries is right ... Eyelashes are out of control for everyone
Good afternoon everyone
How doing sista?
Women have always changed their appearance it's part of / being a woman.I dye my hair/ not ashamed/ grey it's fun 😅
Lashes are just bad wigs on the Eyeballs 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I think part of it is the low self esteem some black man have about themselves which is the reason why they’re so comfortable with putting down their own women. I remember when everyone used to make fun of black women for wearing long colorful nails and then about five years ago the Kardashians made it a trend to wear long nails and now everyone thinks it’s just fine… Black women are trend setters , ladies just be who you are and express your beautiful fearlessly!!! ❤
A lot bm really like the way many bw naturally look. It's that simple. It has nothing to do with low self esteem on our part.
@@themindofsam that makes sense
So when black women criticize black men who sag their pants, are they putting them down?????Don't know why black women feel like it's ok for them to criticize everybody else but no one should criticize them.
@@themindofsamthat’s not true at all. lol I’ve had locs for years and the amount of BM who have made comments is very interesting.
There are a lot of self hating BM and I agree with OP that’s why many think it’s okay to be disrespectful. That’s the same argument many throw with celibacy. They will say that they want a woman who isn’t promiscuous but then they expect you to have sex with them simply because they held the door open for you.
@@indigoGoddess7 It's unfortunate for you if that's your experience. However as a bm, I posted my comment based on not only my preference, but also the preference of most bm I know as well.
The lashes have gone too far.
lt’s starting to look goofy and cartoonish.
Regardless, he was right....majority of women who wear them do go overboard. Why they got to be so big and extra?!
Truth is both black men and women publicly bad mouth each other and that has to stop
And your platinum blonde hair too, is your uniform Luenell. ❤
I agree, Jon. I do not wear eyelashes but I am okay with women who do.
as a black woman some of the lashes are a bit much - but to each her own
He did not say that. This is silly baiting the guest. Ya ll missed his point.😅
EVERYBODY GENERALIZES! 🛑Stop it . And Stop saying that we shouldn’t! “ All Criminals don’t commit Crimes”.
Black women, please don’t do the big lashes. Please Please Please 🙏🏽
Some of these ridiculously long lash that some black women are wearing today was never worn by anyone in history...stop it😅
@@julesgordon1109 were you around during the decades that I'd mentioned? I was. So I would know. You weren't around.
I’m a woman and I think they look ridiculous. People just follow others. They don’t even ask themselves if I like it or does it look good on me? White women don’t wear those lashes for the most part and so what if they do. We don’t need company to validate it. Lunell our men agree that’s why they’re not defending that.
Comedy heights in the always try to start issues with other people that they interview. I remember back when earthquake was on there talking about the same dude that's on the that's talking now try to get his wife to talk about earthquake and they've been divorced over 10 years
The sad part is, men are really having a discussion about this
If black women can have a discussion about black men who sag their pants then why can't black men discuss things about black women they don't like. Yall aren't above criticism despite what you think..
I don't wear fake eyelashes but I wear mascara sometimes
Luenell on point tho
I have different lashes for different occasions period my white husband gets it
And this is why I'm about to marry my 19 year old Asian girlfriend. She don't even need to pressure me 😂
Its a shame that yall be following vlad's blueprint which is to invite a celebrity on just to ask them about something controversial that another celebrity said so as to start a potential beef. If yall want to comment on what was said then fine but yall go get a black woman who is guilty of wearing those types of lashes to answer what was being said by a black man. Yall full of ish for this
I feel like just live and let live. If you don't like big lashes, then don't entertain those women.. like why do ya'll have to always to tell us what you don't like, it's so fkg redundant. 🙄
I don't like the look of false lashes, so I don't wear them. At the same time, what other women choose to do with their body is none of my business.
Black women publicly bash black men I don’t understand what she is talking about they even had talk shows publicly bashing all men what is she talking about
This dude is gaslighting. He giving off moist vibes
I love Ms.Lunell, but to me, a large majority of Black women can't handle criticism.
Dont forget purple and blond wigs!
This is why people hate comedy hype....Ares talk about all women... He just said the sistas seem to be the ones with the enormous lashes...😂 Everything can't be about clicks...Trying too hard
I agree with Aries on this.
I love lunell... But ama side with Aries on this one. Big lashes are a no no. In general i don't think women should wear lashes... Period. But hey... What do i know?
Many Even Put The Long Eye Lashes
On The Headlights Of Their Cars,
That's Wild Son!By The Ways Aries
Is A Douche Mouth Punk!💯
😂😂😂😂
Giving your opinion is not bashing. The reason why there's not a herd of men coming to your defense is because the majority of us feel the same way.
